I know he's a former USF commit, but he is explosive and a monster on the boards. Needs work on ball handling and outside touch, but potential is there. Not sure of his grades(issue at USF), but if all is good he should be someone that should get consideration.

Wendell would be great for LMU. If we did get him there would be some furious Dons fans.

he wants to stay closer to home so I can see USF and SMC being likely. But he also mentioned SDSU so LMU could be in play if Bayno thinks he fits. That was a great highlight reel of him newlionfan.

I heard today he may be headed to USF. It's odd that after one year he would gain acceptance. I watched him play in high school and he would have quadruple doubles. 40 points, 20 rebounds, 10 blocks, and 15 dunks. lol. He's a Charles Barkley clone.

As per SF Chronicle today "McKines narrows choice to USF & SMC"
Has known Randy Bennett since 9th grade but also enjoyed interview with Rex Walters. Said he will committ in the next two weeks.

A St. Mary's poster on the Dons board said they do have a scholarship. I kind of want him to go to USF becasue their fans have had to deal with so much BS in the last year.

I don't believe that Eli has officially asked for his release from Indiana. It would be in USF's advantage in signing Wendell if he did leave, as they have more scholarships to offer. That would make a lovely combo package for them. I'm sure the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting in the Bay.

Did he get released from IU? Just saw on scout he was a 4 star coming out of HS. Wow, that would be a nice present for the dons. If Rex Walters could bring that sort of local talent in he'll definetly be seen as a GOOD hire.

The Eli post that I made was a rumor from some of the people I know. I questioned to them that he hasn't ask for his release and I was told that that's what they were hearing. Eli and Wendell are related, so it wouldn't be a shock. With Sampson gone and Crean featuring a more uptempo style, it makes sense.
