Lionspride, you say some of the waived players don't fit the system. What is THE SYSTEM? I've heard it will be up tempo and I think a couple of them fit the system. How bout a kid being told "he doesn't fit the system" and the kid telling the coach that "he does" and "just needs a chance and will bust his butt to prove him wrong" and the coach says , "sorry, all you will be is a practice player". Good dude. At this point in time I don't see him really bringing in "better players". If that is what is all about and what it takes to get it done than count me off the train. Bad karma buddy.

Is the "bad karma" you throwing our way "heartofalion" a 5-26 season? I think Bayno is trying to shake that bad karma away....getting rid of some of the Tention Train Cars. MMMMM....."better players" you question. I say a Seton Hall transfer is rather solid. Get a clue "heartofalion." Bayno has done more in one month than we Lion fans have seen in years. It looks as if we may be waving a hand to you as we pull out of the station on the road to the Final Four. See ya!

final four? lets not get ahead of ourselves. Right now, as far as i see, next year wont be a very good year unless Bayno has some big tricks up his sleeve. right now i see three mediocre players returning from last year, and a signing that wasnt even on rivals or scout. We will find out tommorow, but LMU is a very very long way away froma final four

Please don't misinterpret my entry. No, I am not on crack and saying we are Final Four bound. I am just saying that Bayno has a plan developing and I see ourselves in the dance (on the road) within a couple of years.

I got the whole story and OJ really hurt some feelings. This is what took place. OJ and Bayno were working out when OJ made like 12 3's in a row while warming up. Bayno goes I didn't know you could shoot the 3's I thought you played the 4 position cause you got a lot of rebounds. OJ, I had you playing the 4 and Tim the 3. My mistake, but would you mind playing the 4. OJ continued working out with Bayno for 2 more weeks and they grew close Bayno had him locked in as the main guy to build around. Then 3 Tall players are released right away. OJ gets upset cause they are like family, but he still wants to stay. He goes to talk to a higher up just to see what the direction of the team is really going. He was told that Coach Bayno feels that you are a Major piece of the rebuilding puzzle, but you have to break ties with the past players and help bring in new players. The next day OJ goes and does a nasty dunk in a open gym type game. Levy says that is what I want to see from everybody, none of this soft crap. OJ has the workout of his life Bayno says you can play for anybody right now. If I had 5 more of you we win the WCC next year. In the next hour it was said that a close friend of his was going to be released for a new Seton Hall player, if he commits. OJ knowing he could play at almost anywhere in the country walks into the AD's office and basically says my friend stays or I'm leaving too. The AD said, you seem to be committed to the past and that is what we are not looking for. OJ says I have been Loyal to the people who cared enough in getting me here and if it means I have to look else where then that is what it will be. Are you asking to be released Orlando the AD asked. If I am going to eventually be the only one left why not go and find a group of guys that I want to play with instead of a bunch of JC transfers from NY. If I stay I'm still looked at as one of Rodney's boys. If I go I'll look like I was released from the team because Bayno didn't like my game, but in the end the truth will be told because where ever I go I will one day meet up with the new LMU team and they will Roe the day they let go of OJ. HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAaH But wait OJ, USC doesn't play LMU so that won't happen. (This events all took place just the conversations maybe a little off). I had to make it spicey. Like the new spicey burritos at Taco Bell get them for $1.29 while supplies last cause they're going fast.

In business, society, and life, you cannot hang on to the past. Don't like the attitude from O.J. to the A.D. about JC Transfers. That is over the top if that was said. Bottom line, O.J. is a solid player. We could have built a winner possibly faster with O.J. on the team. However, if he doesn't want to be on the train I wish him the best.

Orlando has ties to Master P and USC is going to offer him when he takes his visit. Romeo alley to O. The new No Limit Trojans. He will take Derozens spot cause he is staying just one year. Did he resently grow 2 inches because they have him listed as 6'7" LMU SF on our blog site.

Sour grapes? The kid is 18 f***ing years old.
Yeah, it sucks that Orlando was instilled a sense of loyalty.

Interesting story about Orlando departure from LMU. I kind of have mixed feelings about it. I applaud his loyalty to his friends, but his behavior in demonstrating needs work. This is something,I'm sure he will learn...he is only 18 old!
I hope he thinks hard about the reasons he is leaving. He seems to be aim to join a major conferenceā¦if this does come true I doubt the players he is loyal to will be able to join him. Friends and family are important but I hope he considers his own future too.

Very interesting feedback from you all. I think we just all need to accept the fact that Bayno is the coach, and he is going to do whatever he can to bring us a WCC Championship and bring us to the level Gonzaga is at and higher. I am very close with the players and it is really annoying that some of you are really firing back at the coaches, AD, and players. Just relax and see what happens. I think you all need to go to roar and race your boats. Enough bullcrap!

What I hear is that OJ had loyalty. Which is something that is lackng today. Good for him. Whatever happened to it? You stand up for what you believe. Good for him!!!! Too bad there isn't more of that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad there isn't more of that!!!!!!!!!!!! Lionhearted: You are sure stuck on this topic of O.J. and the loyalty issue. Did you ever think about the following: IF that story was true, O.J. was NOT LOYAL to the TEAM or UNIVERSITY. He questioned the authority and the decisions of a coach. He questioned the A.D. O.J. leaving and sticking up for his friends may not have been the most intelligent thing depending on what O.J. priorities were when deciding....at the end of the day, if he did do it for his friends, his friends will not be playing with him at his next school. So, what did O.J. accomplish? Unless the loyolty to his friends was a disguise to just leave as he knew Bayno was bringing in ballers that would eat away at his playing time in the upcoming years. Obviously, we were not there and we are not O.J. Bottom line he is moving on and we have moved on. I wish both parties the best.
