Visits 2 - San Diego State and UCSB both offered
Rest - ASU, Oregon State, Purdue, Seton Hall, Boise State, Saint Marys, USF, Gonzaga, Fullerton, Pacific, UNLV, Fresno State, Portland State, Santa Clara, Pepperdine, BYU.
My buddy said they seen him and his brothers at UCSB this past Weekend. From what I am hearing Bayno wants to have a talk with Orlando to see if he will reconsider his release and come back. It has to do with the LMU A.D. wanting him back after watching him man handle James Harden in the LMU gym. Even an LMU coach said O was better than all then new guys coming in, which means he may still be a Lion. No one says no to Bayno.

It would be a real pleasure if O came back to LMU. We are really building a great team and he would huge part. He seems very popular on campus and think LMU is a great fit for him. I hope he understands that with a new coach it customary that some players will get released. In our case, a lot of the players on our roster were not D1 level. If we offered the released players academic scholarships I think its a honorable thing for a university to do...I hope O realize what type of school he is walking away from.

It would great to have him back. I think he's going to miss out on something special.
Having said that, I think you're going to have to cut your list in half. It is my understanding that under the terms of his release he can't transfer to a WCC school. He'd have to go JUCO first or sit out an extra year (2 years total).

If Orlando has a desire to play and grow with a winning D1 basketball program, he should consider LMU. LMU is FINALLY SERIOUS ABOUT WINNNING. Simply bringing in Bayno is indication alone. If Orlando (as ironlions stated) can realize that Bayno is only doing the best for the program in cleaning the house, Orlando will come to grips that the grass will not be greener on the other side. From the schools that were listed, only see 1 or 2 (outside of the WCC which runthesystem brings up a good point about the release he received) that will be better than LMU in 2 years.
Orlando picked the correct university a year ago. LMU is home. There was a reason he is here. Orlando just needs to search for the answer a bit more. If LMU is calling, Orlando, pick up the phone and listen. You are a Lion and LMU is your playground. You would not be "coming back" as you have never left. Only your mindset was altered. Crimson and Navy are the colors you possess. Put back on that uniform and let's see you in action. Take Bayno and the LMU fans to the rack with you.
P.S. Orlando, you made a statement about sticking up for your friends that were released from the team. But let's see you make a statement for yourself and the UNIVERSITY by keeping your commitment to the LMU BASKETBALL program. You can take it to great heights.

I'd like to have him back as long as he is committed and loyal to LMU as an institution. Agreed. If Orlando will have the chip on his shoulder about being Rodney's recruit and mentality think he does not fit, he should move on. He does belong and we don't want him if that is the case. But if he is unsure of other schools, Orlando should talk it over with Bayno.

to add on to this last post this is why they would not offer him: Steven Gray sg Matt Bouldin SG Demetri Goodson PG Grant Gibbs SG Bol Kong sg/sf Anthony Marshall ? SG Mangisto Arop SG/SF All these players will be there when Orlando could attend Gonzaga. There is no way the staff would offer Orlando with all these players at his position

It's funny you called it the Big Worst when that confrence has been beating LMU year in and year out. If this happens to be the school he chooses then they are going to be that much better. Besides didn't Coach Levy come from the Big Worst. I talked to Coach Fisher and they really want him bad. Couple of players said Orlando was hands down better than Viney and a lot stronger. Purdue says he has a May 16 visit. I bet they offer before he leaves.

lmuhistorian you seem to be close to O. You come on the board and talk about all the places he is offered. And how is better that so and so. How he might stay, where he might go. The fact of the matter is I believe most people on the is board are just fine that O has chosen to move on. This is the Renaissance of LMU basket ball and if he chooses not to be a part that is up to him. I wish him the best.

This is the Renaissance of LMU basketball Ironlions, I love how you put this transition that LMU Basketball is undergoing.....a Renaissance. That it is. I just hope that Orlando realizes the grass may not be greener on the other side. Bayno is for real and is bringing quality players on that will simply better every other player's game. Just Say Bayno!

Purdue and Oregon State have offered, but it appears he is headed to the Mountain West or Big West. It looks Like San Diego State with the Pepperdine boys (Thomas and Shelley). If I was Orlando I would go to UCSB before messing around in Drug State. Both can party with the best , but San Diego just took a Black eye to the face. As for LMU, it appears that being an 8th man in a world of 4 star phenoms isn't what he wants to look forward to so it was better he left to avoid the embarrassment of being demoted . Sometimes it is better to be a big fish in a little pond than a small fish at the fair in a Glad sandwich bag being treated like a 25cent has been
