This is just the kind of selfish attention O doesn't need so I would suggest to whoever is posting this stuff to stop because its not doing him any good with respect to marketing. If its a shot at LMU alum, fans or coaching staff well we don't care anymore. Please move on.

lmuhistorian: I am happy that you are an lmu fan (as we need as many as we can get to fill Gersten, especially after last year's disaster), but your credibility is completely WORTHLESS. I have taken some beatings on this board for my posts for being too critical or beating a dead horse (but please note I had a basis for what I was doing and the outcome turned out to be in my favor), but for you to consistently post complete and inaccurate crap is dragging down this board. When posting, please have some concrete facts and reliable sources. Until you do, please don't post speculation. You are just wasting your time, the board audience's time, and bringing down the credibility of the board. Zagfanforlife reply yesterday to you said it best. If this new destination for Orlando is correct, that would give him an opportunity to be coached by Brad Holland (former USD head coach, winning head coach in thier history) who just came on to USCB's staff as an assistant coach. Not bad, but SDSU head coach Steve Fisher is not bad either. However, neither compare to Bill Bayno.

Like I have claimed all along about lmuhistorian... you are full of crap. All you bring to this board is wannabe information that flip flops every week about a player no longer on this team.

lmuhistorian: You are constantly bringing down new players that Bayno brings on board. This time Ashley. You over compensate for Orlando publicity. Reminds me of dead3man in a way. Bottom line, if Orlando was a man, stuck by his commitment to the UNIVERSITY, was good enough to play on a Bayno team, and was intelligent enought to know that the LMU administration has just made a HUGE COMMITMENT to a winning basketball program, he should have stayed. But instead Orlando opted for a release. You are a terrible PR agent for Orlando and a worse poster to this board. Get your facts straight before you come dropping your jaw on this board.

lionspride-
What lmuhistorian said pales in comparison to you calling out Orlando's manhood. I find it ironic that you bash OJ transferring, but in another thread, you feel QT's schollie should be pulled, and our commitment to him thrown out the window.
You feel loyalty should only be considered when it's most convenient for you. How sad.

LMUtex, while I see where you are going with this, there is a difference. And im not saying I totally agree that Orlando's manhood should be questioned. Orlando Johnson had a right to look at other programs and transfer. It is not uncommon for a player to transfer when the coach who recruited him is fired. Even more understanding, more than half of Orlando's teammates from last year will no longer be on the team. So I understand Orlando's departure. Good luck to him at USCB or SDSU or one of the other 50 teams LMUhistorian has mentioned him being a member of. Regarding QT, Lionspride's argument is a very valid one, and I can not say that I disagree with it. Turner is not division one talent whatsoever. Not even one of the bottom level Division 1 programs. Even more so considering the improvements and additions Bayno has brought in. I know it was discussed that he will be a senior, why cut him and make him play at a division two program. I do not see this argument. D2 is where his talent level belongs. If he wants to continue playing basketball, play at a D2 school. If he does not want to play basketball, he can still get a free ride and a great education at LMU under the Presidents Scholarship. But by keeping him this year, it gives us one less scholarship to hand out this year. The player using this scholarship is a player who never will get off the bench. LMU does not need to be "loyal" to QT. This is Division 1 basketball, not park and rec where everyone plays and everyone is happy. If a guy does not belong at a division one program, do not continue Tention's mistake of bring a player like Turner on in the first place. Its not a matter of being loyal, rather should be a matter of fielding the best team possible.

I'm glad to hear he is headed to UCSB and not SDSU.

He seems like a better fit for UCSB. A nice midmajor player should do well there and deserves more PT than he would have got here his upperclassmen years.

Anyone that thinks Orlando wouldn't have been a four-year starter (and a star) at LMU, I question your fanhood.

Anyone that thinks Orlando wouldn't have been a four-year starter (and a star) at LMU, I question your fanhood. lmutex: Then you can question my manhood. I do not think Orlando would have started his last two seasons (jr. and sr.) under Bayno's direction. The caliber of talent that Bayno is bringing in far exceeds what O.J. brought to the table last year.
