Anybody out there know when our Adidas deal ends? Just curious as I assume Bayno is a Nike guy (trailblazers and then rest of Oregon faithful near Phil Knight's Oregon headquartered Nike office). I think it would be a statement if we could get a deal done with Nike as opposed to Adidas. But I assume the Athletic Department has a blanket deal for all sports and we would need to let the existing contract run out. Maybe with Nike we could start having some more selection of apparel available for our fans....not to mention the look may be better. Some of you with uniform design concepts should e-mail the administration and Bill Bayno directly ( William.Bayno@lmu.edu).....I am sure Bill will have a say in new uniforms....it's another new era for Lions basketball. ;D |

Don't know when, but if Bill has not contacted Nike, I'm sure Nike will contact him.
Regarding Bayno - I had a great conversation yesterday with a MA high school coach who worked for Bill at UConn and knows Max Good well. He can also cite our line-up during the Gathers/Kimble era so that shows you what kind of basketball nut he is.
He suggests that we will have a well disciplined, well conditioned team, with practice sessions more entertaining than MTV, cell phones, Lions Den and video games combined (he didn't actiually mention Lions Den), with Good being the most unorthodox, fiery coach he's ever met.
I hope Bayno does not close practices. They are a really great way to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the individual players.

Just e-mail the direct source. That way you guarantee your voice to be heard. If your ideas get squashed, at least you tired. The unknown abyss has always killed us at LMU. |

I really liked your uniform designs lmupepbander last time I saw them.
Can you post them again?
We desperately need new uniforms, and we also need uniforms available for the fans to buy because I know more than a couple people at school who would be willing to buy one.

I really hope the uniforms fit better this year. Last year the look like big sails that were way too big on everyone. I'm pretty happy with Adidas...Nike would be great too.

The uniforms last year were not flattering and the wind drag didn't help our quickness any. Do you still have your designs ironlions? I liked that design. I couldn't find the thread it was posted on. You should send them in. Anything to get the message across that these stripped ponchos should be retired. Whatever designs people send to Bayno or the Athletic Administration, please refain from sending designs that have former player's name (Johnson and Deadwiler). Spend the extra time to update the designs before sending.

I noticed they have started selling some new Adidas LMU basketball gear in the bookstore which is real nice. I am still waiting for them to offer LMU basketball jerseys for us fan to purchase. Come on!
On another note I think we should change our jerseys from the uninspired modern ones, to a more retro look like the ones Hank and Bo wore in the 90's. Anyways somethings got to be done with the jerseys.
