haha then why does he dribble with his left, shoot free throws with his left, and threes with his left. dont give me that crap. maybe he writes papers with his right, but how am i supposed to know that. if he is right handed, he should probably go right more, because the WCC coaches are taking away his left hand. I have never seen him shoot inside the lane right. Good try though. And a 6'0 160 pound shooter with little athleticism is pretty tough to get into a d1 college, let alone CSU. good try once again though.

Well if you go to the site and read his BIO you would see he's right handed and beat the crap out of a team in Vegas shooting right handed. And as for going right there was very little room in the lane this year for anyone to drive, it appeared to be clogged up. As for shooting left, I taught him by tying his right hand behind him so he could use his left just as strong as his right, lol.... This is funny you don't even know the player, go figure. Shoot I'm going to even add the quote from his BIO for you, hold on...

Whatever hand he shoots how does that have to do with Larry Davis and him being a good recruit? I hate how we have to gauge EVERY LMU basketball player compared to Shawn Deadwiler. Bayno will make the call on how to work Shawn and next season is going to be very different than this past so talk about top 2, top 3, blah blah blah is flat out dumb at this point.

Son he's right handed, I raised him so I know don't be stupid. He plays basketball left handed with his jumper. Please don't tell a father, coach, Business man what he already knows. I find you amazing that you just don't get it.
Enough said I've proven my point I would not want you scouting a team for me because I would probably get killed because I would be missing important information.
Have a good night and to all the players keep pushing, keep working and don't ever let what someone says or writes deter you from your Goal/Dream. Fight through it and prove the one watching wrong and keep that chip/edge.

OJ is a good player that will be great as long as he stays. I don't need to take shots at OJ, nor Brandon, QT, Ziri, Tim, Mas, Max, Sutton, etc.... I'll let the coach decide.
Hope OJ stays, it will be a great run with him, LD, Deadwiler, Tim and the rest of the players and recruits Bayno brings in. And if someone I mentioned is out, meaning not Bayno's type player then they move on and I'm sure Bayno will help find them a home because he's a good coach and a caring one.

I think Shawn is a fair player. He deserves to stay on the team, because he will only be a junior next year, and is a scorer that this team lacks. There are far worse players on this team right now. I was just pointing out some of the flaws in his game, as well as the fact that when I have watched Seton Hall and Davis play, I believe he is an upgrade over Deadwiler at the 2 spot. Just an opinion. I am entitled to it.
I have nothing against Shawn (as i have stated before, he is a very nice and respectful young man), just offering my opinion on the ability of Larry Davis, which this post was originally meant for. End of discussion

OJ you might be right in leaving with this type of hating going on. Not once did deadman explain why he bashes his game. OJ is a freshman and his son a sophomore. Both are true players meaning no red shirt. Even a healthy Shawn couldn't put up OJ like numbers as a freshmen. I see OJ putting like 16.6ppg and 7.4rpg next year easy and that is only his sophomore year. There is no comparison in the two players. OJ has a mans body and to think he needs your help in finding a College is crazy. He may be the only player on the team who can ask for a release and leverage his choices. I don't think he should, but even Larry Davis is getting dissed and he hasn't even suited up. Maybe your influence on these boards, as a father of a player, has caused rift among players. This why parents shouldn't come on here trying to defend their sons. If the LA Times says your son can't shoot are you going to tell them that Orlando had a bad game last week and that they should get him too. Why mention anybody period? Yeah I jumped the gun by writing OJ is leaving and then he goes and does it. For that I say I was wrong, but not once have I talked bad about the guy. I just hope he takes his game out of the WCC cause karma is a b*tch and to think he will be a 5th year player at some other school. In the future just talk about Shawn and only him so we can hold on to the new incoming Superstars that Bayno has recruited. Besides didn't you say you weren't going to post again.

I believe he is ambidextrous but shoots with his left. Didn't he play in a game with broken wrist in HS and scored quite a few points with his off hand.
While we are on the subject...I think Shawn made great strides last year. The next step in his development IMO would be working on creating his own shot. Right now seem like mostly a catch and shooter.

You are a OJ fan and I'm a team fan and if I as a parent can cause someone to leave a program than you are giving me too much credit/power I don't have. Someone wrote since we have LD get rid of Shawn and that post has been pulled so thats what I'm responding to. Someone wrote Shawn has TO's like crazy and I compared the teams TO's and attributed to a team trying to find an identity.
