So I know this is a really bad time to talk about this, but...I always thought it would be a cool idea for the coaching staff or someone to have an event where students could voice there opinions about the game. I guess its another viewpoint that would be good to have, sometimes getting insights on somethings that the coaches may not. I dunno what do you guys think?

I can see why people would want something like this, but the day-to-day management of a team doesn’t require input from students. First off, if you had this thing, knowing LMU, no one would come (other than a few people from this board). And if people did show up, it would be a whole lot of Monday morning quarterbacking and probably a few questions like “why don’t you guys dunk more.” Am I a bit on the cynical side? Probably.

I think/hope coaches are paid enough and are skilled enough to not really need input from the peanut gallery. Maybe for publicity have coach "chats" but nothing like some sort of press conference where fans could whine about a lack of dunks or sally standing all game and blocking her view.

I would hope that more educated people that watch and analyze the game would go. I certainly do and would love to give some input towards the team. I thought I heard that Marquett or Indiana did this. Just a thought though.

I hate to agree with phurther. Coaches are paid for a reason and there is a point when too many heads become a detriment. I highly doubt there are any points that can be brought up that haven't been thought of by the coaches. Problems are easy to point out, but are much harder to fix in practice and games.
