I'm meeting with Karina (asst. athletic director) in a couple weeks to order some new songs for the band. Anyone have any suggestions?
The only confirmed song that we're getting is "The Impression That I Get" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Anything upbeat is great as long as the band starts up when the other team calls a time out because we are on a run - - - instead of what happened Saturday. We cut the lead, they call time out, the fans roar for a moment and all goes quiet when the shooting contest starts. Let's keep the crowd noise momemtum going.
Back to songs - - - I have a couple from the '30s but I doubt the band knows them.

Just as an FYI, the shooting contest was a miscue, as they ran out to hold that during a 30 sec timeout instead of waiting for the TV timeout. If you were paying attention, when it was over, one of the athletic department people all but hurled the contestant into the third row to clear the court.
I'm also going to ask that they don't automatically rely on Zombie Nation to pump up the crowd every game. Every time we have a motivational number (Eye of the Tiger, etc) lined up, they go straight to that overplayed track.

We sit right behind the scorer's bench. You couldn't miss all the activity but it worked out ok.

To update this, I'm pretty certain that we're going to try to get a band arrangement of September, that way we can play it live for the womens' games instead of it being taped. Beyond that, I'll have to check with all the sheet music sites to see what's available.
