Will be watching the game via internet while I'm back east here for the holidays.
We've been relatively tough in our three home games.
Expecting to hang tight and probably wilt a little as we tire in the second half.
Go Lions!

Tulsa travels west for a one-off game in West L.A.. Former Navy pointman leads a disciplined Hurricane squad into Gersten Pavilion to face a struggling LMU squad in hopes of their first road conquest of the season.
Center Jerome Jordan should provide problems for a depleted and height-challenged Lion frontline. Expect LMU to collapse on Jordan and force the Canes to convert from beyond the arc. Guard Ben Uzoh is Tulsa's sole thread from deep and could go off on a Lion team that has been very susceptible to the long ball.
LMU still has just 7 healthy players along with two walkons. Despite still searching for their opening win of the campaign, interim coach Max Good's troops have played tough and close in Hank's house to some formidable opposition. Expect the Lions virtual iron five to take some air out of the ball again and hope that their shots fall for the first time this year.

Gersten should be an empty shell tonight with the student's on break but the young and enthusiastic, albeit very depleted, Lion squad has shown some fight in Westchester. Expect LMU to hang tough early and wilt late as has been the pattern of their home games due to lack of subs.
The game and total will hinge on a few factors:
-Good will likely center the game plan on collapsing on Jordan and forcing the Hurricanes to bury some threes.
-Tulsa, outside of Uzoh, has little to show from beyond the arc but LMU has been giving up threes at a rate faster than GreenDoberman downing booze on penny drink tonight.
-Jordan could also cause foul problems on the LMU big-man. Considering their complete lack of bench this could be a big problem.
-LMU continues to be woeful on the offensive end, earning their early-season moniker "the gang who can't shoot straight". Frosh Dubois and Young need to step up to compliment consistent Counts and breakout rookie Armstead.

we have to be the worst 3 point defensive team in the country.
Kids in intramurals could make the open looks we give up.

This is by far the worst performance of the season. Tulsa just rained down threes from all over Westchester on us. Uzoh the Uzi killed just. They obviously scouted us well...every time Ron Ron got the ball he was double and tripled teamed. Kevin played well, but was taking too many threes. Playing hard and losing is one thing, playing lousy and losing is another. This is just so frustrating- why do we have to have so many injuries!!!
I need to drink a lot tonight.
Good night and good luck.

Two game notes:
(1) The "Big Jersey" contest was an exercise in existentialism.
(2) Bless the Daniel Freeman elementary students in attendance, otherwise we have no souls in the students section.
Yikes!

Well, I got this to say. Everyone say's get banyo back that's not going to fix this problem. I see people are being banned for speaking out, but last year I watched this board call out players, coaches etc and it was allowed so I think the banning is not fair.
I will also say those DII players did not get blown out each game and had won 3 games by now one against Mercer that is coming up. I hope these lions win against them. Sorry but I'm done drinking the koolaid and I'm sick of hearing about injuries. We've had them year end and year out but last years team got no credit for trying but again they had 3 wins by now.
Give me one, just one right now...

Main difference between last year and this year? 11 players getting minutes vs. 7. Makes a huge difference, regardless of talent level.

Can anyone confirm if the LMU coaching junta is recruiting Pacific High Senior 6’ 7” forward Alex Osborne. I’ve been informed they are. Rated an 85 by ESPN, he plays power forward but appears to be more comfortable at the wing according to someone who has seen him play. I noticed Alex was at the Tulsa game with his family friend, a former NBA/ABA and college basketball player.

Tulsa might be the one recruiting him. We are already full at his position.
