Put up 18 and 22 last two games for USF.
Guess we should be rooting for the kid except versus Dons.
Wendell Wright averaging less than 2 points a game at Portland State, played in all 11 games though.

Good job Kwame. He is a good kid and I'm glad he is doing well at USF. I will still take Jarred. Kwame is more of a SG and he would have hard time getting mintues with Vernon and Larry before him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the loyolan.... pass the zanax!
On-campus interviews for the vacant men's basketball head coaching position have begun, a source close to the situation confirmed. Loyola Marymount University hopes to name a coach by next weekend, before the start of the Final Four.
Portland State Head Coach Ken Bone was spotted on campus Friday. Bone had not yet been mentioned in articles by the Los Angeles Times and the L.A. Daily News as of Sunday.
Other candidates that will be on campus in the upcoming week include former UNLV coach and current Portland Trailblazers assistant Bill Bayno, associate head coach at Nevada-Reno David Carter and Cal State Fullerton Head Coach Bob Burton.
Bone led Portland State to an NCAA Tournament birth this year, the school's first in its history. Portland State finished the season with a record of 23-10, also the best record in the school's history.
Bone became the first Viking men's basketball coach to be named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year. With a 54-39 record, Bone has the most wins and best winning percentage of any PSU coach since basketball was reinstated for the 1996-97 season.
Overall, Bone is in his 16th season as a head coach, compiling a record of 312-157. Bone was the head coach at Cal State Stanislaus in 1984-85. He took over the program at Seattle Pacific in 1990, and guided the Falcons to a 12-year mark of 253-97, winning six conference titles and earning eight NCAA Division II Tournament berths.
Prior to coming to Portland State, Bone spent three seasons at Washington under Lorenzo Romar, helping the Huskies to a 58-35 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
USC assistant Gib Arnold, who was mentioned in an earlier article by the L.A. Times, is no longer a candidate.
The source would not comment on the rumors surrounding former Stanford and Golden State Warriors head coach Mike Montgomery.
Montgomery is rumored to be in the running for the head coaching jobs at Indiana and Cal. Both jobs became open this season as Kelvin Sampson resigned in the wake of alleged NCAA rules violations, and Cal fired Ben Braun after 12 years at the helm in Berkeley. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bone is a helluva coach. He has the exact profile that Aggers had at EWU..built a previously dead program in the Big Sky Conference.
Honestly, his Portland State team and the returning talent is much better than LMU now. I don't see him doing this move because I'm not sure it's much of a jump.
I would not be surprised to see Bone get the job at Oregon State.
Dunlap saying no is not a surprise. They took their swing with him three years ago but he was too smart to come to LMU w/ Husak running things. I still think he winds up at Cal.
I'm still trying to reconcile why Montgomery would take the LMU job even as much as he loves his son. A lot of downside for him personally.
We'll see how Husak does. I'm not a fan of the A.D., but Bone would be a good hire.

Sad ,but true ,about two of Bone's starters,JD (the star)and Jones. Both of whom started their careers at UP but then flunked out. Unfortunately, Student/athletes is part of the equation they could'nt take care of at UP before transfering.
