Moving on shall we... Pomeroy is now predicting a close LMU loss after the blowout in the midwest. I think the Lions have a chance to come back here. Monmouth is one of the stronger NEC teams but that doesn't say much. Holding out hope, kwanzaa ain't over yet. Go Lions!

We'll have a chance for a surprise win. We'll need the encouragement riding into wcc time. If Ziri, Miller, Counts improve their shooting things won't get out of hand.

halftime 33-28 hawks are leading. The "lions den" halftime show is pure coincidence.

That was a nasty 9-0 run by the hawks. Just embarassing. the big guys are just giving away the turnovers.

monmouth has some 7'2" monster that is just blocking the crap out of us. We cannot handle it, the inexperience of these guys is obvious. They should get better as the season goes on but times running up. We NEED Knight!!

That was a mess. To Monmouth's credit, they are expected to win the NEC and have been improving. Their team isn't bad and it didn't help us any that they were having a great afternoon maybe jazzed up about tonight in times square ... or Camden, NJ.
I think the commentators are right about the biggest struggle for the lions is our new front court. Grubb, Craig, Maynard they just are too inconsistent and I haven't seen much improvement. I don't think things will get better until Knight returns. I'm glad the young guys hearts are still in the game but now we need the baskets.
Have a happy new years eve/day everyone. I'll do some OOC/2006 reflections when we get back from the celebrations.
