breath, and realize that the program is headed in the right direction and this staff is light years ahead of the previous one. It is an exciting time to be a LMU Lion.
I hope Bayno gets the help he needs but he left the program in better shape than he got it.

Things look bleak right now but let’s look at what we do have. Coach Good has a vast amount of experience, and the players seem to like him a lot and but their asses for him. I think if we had a healthy roster this year we would have more of insight to his coaching acumen. Even Coach K or Roy Williams wouldn’t be able to do much with three freshmen and four walk on players.
We will have to wait and see who leaves and who stays, but I feel their will be very little roster turn over. My guess is that Garibay and Kalipinde will still be Lions. Vinson will be the big question mark. Next year we would have
PG- Larry Davis SG-Vernon Teel SF- Vinson (If he comes) PF- Viney C- Garibay
That’s an amazing team! We should also have Laron, Jarred and Kevin who have gotten a tremendous amount of experience this year. I’m sure Diedrich will be back. Not sure about Sutton, Hamilton and Sweezy. Coach Scholl and Coach Levy are great recruiters, and I’m sure they have established relationships with Bayno’s contacts.
So we finally have closure on they short Bayno chapter and its time to move on. We have a great foundation in place- let’s all take a deep breath.
If everyone starts leaving-then we are screwed.
Go Lions

I wish I can share that same optimism as you all, but I can't.
My freshman year at LMU was 1989-90.
It's now been 18 years of heartbreak, bad luck, a non-stop turnstyle of head coaches going in and out.
I had season tickets for years. I've heard the promises of the administration, Husak over the years and I've grown tired of it.
When Bayno came on board - a legitimate D1 Coach - the first we've had since Westhead - I was absolutely thrilled.
Now we're here.
To be an alum and not have one single athletic program to be proud of is downright embarrassing.

I believe the state of our athletics programs are in a crisis. The board and president need to be much more involved. How much longer can we afford to lose money and goodwill with this sort of management. This is very shocking and sad news for us. I had really high hopes that Bayno was going to finally get us going but he obviously couldn't handle this. If you are filling a position in a company and hire an employee that crashes to earth like this you'd have problems.

I disagree, our aquatics teams are top notch (Men's Water Polo finished 3rd in the nation) and our Women's BBall team is great for a WCC team. I am pessimistic that most of our freshmen will stay... There is typically lots of player turnover when there is a head coaching change, hopefully I'm wrong.

This will be my last post on the Bayno subject as I am going to hope for the best...I also want to say I have and continue to be a Detroit Lion fan for over 30 years. I do not give up on my sports teams. I have to believe we have now lowered our expectaions by putting Good at the helm. Were we not going after the likes of Mike Montgomery, did anyone notice Cal is 14-2. I was praying for a quicker turn around, and now we once again have a wait and see what happens program. Oh well, which Lions do you think will have a winning season first?

Let's have a few sustained years of continued success in those programe (i.e winning WCC titles and being in the hunt every year). Then we can hang our hats on something.

Well...the WBB team has been at the top of the program for a few years, haven't they? They haven't won a championship since 2004, but Coach Wilhoit and her staff have showed some consistency.
