This is what I found on Aggers currently, wikipedia is your friend:
The Great Falls Explorers are a team in the Continental Basketball Association founded in 2006. The team plays their home games at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Montana. The franchise was branded 'Explorers' in honor of Lewis and Clark traveled through the area.[1] The Explorers, previously coached by Steve Aggers, will be coached by Scott Wedman for the 2007-2008 season. The team's front office is led by General Manager Ryan Acra.

I don't know much before Rodney was hired, but since he was fired, IMO it's been a huge mess. I live in Tucson, Az., and am a huge Arizona fan. We've also been on a rollercoaster ride the last couple of years. I don't get hiring Good for 5 years. IMO, could have done better. Let me throw out a name of an up and coming, dynamic JC coach who will win somewhere in the future: RICK CROY, Citrus College, Glendora, California. Won California state JC last year and in first this year. Dynamic, relentless, knows the game, gets the most out of his players.

Aggers did an excellent job of pulling LMU out of the cess pool that Bradley left us in. He was an EXCELLENT recruiter and a good X's and O's coach. I'm not sure what happened with the players but I thought we was fired too early. But all that is in the past.
Some of the names brought up most: Brandon Worthy ( I believe red shirted freshman year due to a spiral fracture in his finger) Damian Martin Matty Knight Wes Wardrop Charlie Brown Doh Miller Keith Kincade Andy Osborne ( Left because of internal team chemistry issues but was a great player)
These are all great players in my book.
Go Lions

Did HUSAK raise the money? Or did the donors, by way of Brian Luft in Unviersity Relations? I worked in UR during the planning stages and got to see the model. VERYYYYYYY cool. LOL Oh wait. Sorry Titanczar - I forgot you aren't from LMU and might not know that stuff... hahahaha

Go Lions Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I miss those days. I also remember Andy Osborne being a huge disappointment for fans who were there before I was. Everyone was excited about him as a freshman, and then he fell through as a sophomore and transferred. I was at my peak in LMU fandom during the years of those players. At that time, I was also friends with some of the WBB girls....during that time, I, TOO, heard stories about how the guys hated Aggers. They were thrilled to get Tention, from what I was told (by some of the MBB players I shared a class with). I definitely remember watching some of those guys coming in as very promising freshmen and then getting lazy. I also remember sitting behind the chain link fence, hanging my head in frustration with the rest of the Cage as we yelled at Aggers under our breath every time he pulled a stupid move by taking a player out who shouldn't have been removed. Something along the lines of, "Oh wait. [insert player name] did something good; now let's pull him out!"

It looks as though Husack made facility improvements and fundraising a priority. He hired/assigned good people, who knew how to raise money, and they got the job done.

Go Lions Possibly "great" players compared to what we have now, but most of them listed were average players. Aggers did a good job of getting a lot out of what he had which is something we could use right now. However, there were a few that didn't respond to his style and never reached their potential. Aggers was a hard worker, knows his stuff, but carries a slight air of superiority and never seems to lighten up, come down to earth, and show a more human side. I can imagine some less disciplined players would not enjoy playing for him. I can't see Max Good doing any better than Aggers, se we'll see if it is "Good" enough for Husak this time. heartofalion: I've seen RICK CROY, Citrus College in action a few times, seems like a pretty good coach, very intense, but I think some one more established is needed. greendoberman: Aggers is currently the AD at West L.A. College down the street if you're wondering about his whereabouts.

Which is why, unfortunately, I distinctly remember being severely disappointed each year as players failed to reach the potential we all knew they had. I think I'm one of two girls on here regularly, but one thing is for sure: we always managed to have the prettiest boys in college basketball on our team when Aggers coached.

As an unbiased citizen in the community who became enchanted with LMU basketball, I saw my first games under Aggers while Worthy was out for the year on injury. My reaction to Aggers's slow down game was "someone shoot the ball!" I guess Aggers reasoned that we were not competitive without the slow down game but it was frustrating for the fans. I admit that I did not experience the years before Aggers. But I must say in hindsight that he recruited a dynamite team which would be competitive in the season after his dismissal. Then Aggers was gone and Tension was in and he unleashed the players on the court. I am sure Worthy's return was a key factor in his success, but the world looked bright. Knight was a kingpin under the hoop (if only Derich could make 10% of Knights lay ups we would have a few more wins this season). I wondered if we could even keep Tension in the long term and his apparent success at LMU after his pedigree at Arizona. Our loss in the final round of the WCC playoffs was disheartening - Chris Ayers missed that uncontested layup against Gonzaga in the WCC conference tournament finals and the season ended with Worthy holding his head in his hands. Wow - we were almost in the NCAA tournament and would have made some noise with that team. Then the Worthy injury during the next highly competitive season! What a loss. We did beat Gonzaga in our home matchup thanks to great play from Montgomery but were fading from the scene in the bigger picture. 2007-2008 was a disappointment. We found happiness in getting the ball over mid court on the in bounds play. And Tension, frustrated but always civil to his players, was gone. And Bayno was in. Let's hope for a better future with Good and Scholl. Good had a winning record at Wagner and the players appear to like him. Next season's starting team looks great if we keep current players and recruits (perhaps excepting Vinson) on board. Go Lions!
