I honestly don't know how any who didn't go to Gonzaga who be a fan of theirs. I hate watching them play because they are so stinking dirty. Tugging on Paddy Mills' jersey to make him fall and mess up his shooting hand? Whatever happened to good sportsmanship? I'd love to hear any former players' take on playing the Zags. I can't remember who told me, but one of the guys from Aggers' golden team told me he HATED playing against Adam Morrison because of the crap Morrison would pull. It doesn't look like it ever gets any better.....I would hope that no one would ever want to harm a player from another team....unless that player has been playing a DIRTY game and deserved to be injured.
NOT COOL on the Zags' part. I feel bad for Paddy. That's such BS. ESPECIALLY when you can see the guy yank on his jersey to bring him down.
I'm just disgusted with Gonzaga and their dirty ways. They don't belong in our league. A team like LMU who plays with an actual HONOR code and some actual INTEGRITY (so much to the point that Athletics won't even let fans heckle anymore) can't compete against guys who throw everything to the way side just for a good score.

Without Mills SMC will not win. That's how the Zags do it. They find the key player and bring him down - get him out of the game. Where is the integrity in this team?!?!?! They put on such a show with their overexaggerated/fake fouls (will never forget when Morrison tried to get a foul called on someone by faking it, when the guy was nowhere near him...and then threw a tantrum because the ref didn't make the call) and dirty plays. Such BS. Gotta hand it to the Gaels, though. They have depth.

maybe a better poll question should be:
whose life is more controlled by conspiracy theories/schadenfreude with regard to their respective subjects?
lionspride v. tention/husak cagegirl v. zags/morrison

I just keep mentioning him because he played while i was a student, so I saw and heard about all the crap he pulled when I watched from the depths of the cage. How about cagegirl v. zags/heytvelt.

Crazy cage girl, Just stop. You are ridiculously ridiculous. A dirty play by Pargo??? Give me a break. Tugging on the shorts happens every single game at least once. Pay attention to a game next time you watch it. I am sure it will happen. And secondly, if you take a look at that replay Mills was going to fall whether or not Pargo pulled on his shorts or not. Check it out again. You hate on Gonzaga because they are good, its obvious.Wow... intentionally trying to hurt MIlls. What a crock of sh*t. I honestly do not believe some of the garbage you write on this board. Really?? You think he was INTENTIONALLY trying to hurt him? And you still have something against Heytvelt because..... of some mistake he made three years ago, apologized for, did community service for, and has to live with for the rest of his life? You sound like you have a lot of class and honor yourself... not.

And the Gaels have depth...
You really do not know too much about basketball do you..
One thing that was exposed in this loss was their LACK of depth. Once Mills went down no one could feed the ball into their big monsters down low. No one besides Simpson or Samham could score.
Honestly, I believe Saint Mary's would have won this game had Mills stayed in. With Mills the team is Sweet 16 caliber. Without MIlls the team will have trouble making the big dance. They looked pretty marginal without him. Understandably so. Mills is one of the best guards in the country. I wish Mills the speediest recovery possible and hope to see him when SMC plays the Zags two more times.

So opinions just for kicks: does this result hurt SMC or help GU more in the rankings?

Dude, don't you have anything better to do than come in and criticize everything I have to say about your precious team?

Crazycagegirl, It is nothing personal. However, When your criticism of the Zags is way off base, no i dont have anything better to do. Just like you have nothing better to do then construct any possible lie to make the Zags look bad in your free time. You hate the zags for the simple reason that they are good. The Gonzaga fan's are classy, the players are not a bunch of stuck up kids, and the program for a big time school (minus the Heytfelt controversy) has done a damn good job at staying out of trouble. You would be hard pressed to find a handful of big time programs who have kept their noses clean like Gonzaga has over the years.
You cant honestly say Pargo was trying to hurt Mills. Thats just assanine.
Stonewall, I doubt it will hurt SMC much at all. If the ap poll or coaches poll actually realize that the heart and soul of the gaels was out the whole second half then i would say they only drop a couple spots. The zags will move up just because they beat a team ranked seven spots higher. I see them coming in around 22 next week depending on who loses this weekend.

has done a damn good job at staying out of trouble.
Ther are few more things beside Theo and Josh's drug issues. How about Tony Skinner? How about the player who got in trouble in San Fran for making racial jokes? Or how about the student chanting homophobic things a few year ago.

And you do not believe that other big time programs make racial or homophobic jokes?? Do you believe fans in Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Indiana do not make racial or homophobic jokes? Really? There are always a few bad seeds in a crowd. I dont think one or two students reflect a whole school or program. Some of the stuff being yelled at Eddie Sutton when he came to LMU last year was on an equal level with saying homophobic remarks imo.
