Terrell,

I know you will be getting your release from LMU soon and you will become a top target. I have read that you have interest in Maryland, Villanova, Gtown and Wake Forest. I have also read that you would like to play in a place with warm weather, and place you could get playing time right away. So let’s look at the schools:

Gtown
Hollis Thompson who plays your position is already committed to Gtown and is in fact already taking classes there. He is ranked just as high as you if not higher. In the 2010 class they have also have Nate Lubock a very highly ranked forward committed. I'm not sure how your skill stand up to the incoming recruits and current players but it will be a fight for playing time. Also, I just checked weather.com and it says its 34 degrees (feels like 26) in Washington today.

Maryland
Players committed at your position James Paddgett. James HS teammate, Lance Stevenson who plays your position and is one of the top 5 recruits in America has also been spotted recently at Maryland game. In addition, Gary Williams’s status seems to be kind of shaky right now. 37 degrees in College park (feels like 32)

Wake Forest
Players already committed at your position. 2009 Ari Stewart. There are also several 5 star recruits on the roster. Getting playing time will be a challenge. Its 32 in Winston Salem

Villanova I have read the moved on to classes beyond 2009. The also already have one of the top recruiting classes in America. It’s also 28 and snowing today in Philadelphia.

Well today in Westchester it was 75 and sunny. If you came to LMU you would start as a freshman. So as you look at schools in upcoming months don't forget about us.

Vinson could be a game changer for LMU - the start of something big! Let's hope he considers all the factors. Weather was the reason I came here and I glad of it. Plus, the California lifestyle. I came from Virginia and Maryland after 17 years there and don't miss it. I also lived in Phillie where there is serious winter!

Four-star senior prospect Terrell Vinson finally has his release from his Letter of Intent from Loyola Marymount in hand, and he even named a couple schools of interest.

Vinson, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound forward from Baltimore St. Francis school mentioned Notre Dame, Louisville and Providence as schools of interest, but he also noted that many other schools are likely to get involved as well.

Vinson is the No. 81 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.

I don't know where it says that but he is definitely isn't committed. Technically other schools were not allowed to contact him until LMU gave him the release. This has happened and now he is on the open market and will be a top target.

Of course I would have LOVED to keep him a Lion but our roster has other needs to fill.

Coach Levy and Scholl both are excellent recruiters and I'm sure will have several prospects they are looking at. At the last game I saw them talking to two recruits. I will keep a look out on the recruiting sites on the net, and try and get some more info and post anything that I come across.
