Somebody lay down the banhammer to this guy already! I've just seen enough of his tirades and bravadoes, wonder why 95% of his posts is allowed on this board. I am a participant on other discussion boards as well and I've never seen a lunatic on the loose for so long and everyone seems powerless with this guy. It's like we have a bad child in our backyard and we just have to live with him. I might be labeled an ass for doing this but I want to be clear. This is not about throwing fans off the bus, this is about maitaining sanity on this board. A player's father already went into silent mode, how many more of us have to opt for the same route before anyone take any action? Fanblade, I understand you prefer inclusion but you can't have us all. Sooner or later you will have to draw a line, not between fans, but between what's healthy and what's not for the board. Good luck.

lmu, let be known that I am (obviously) in your corner. I think you and I are 1 and 1a when it comes to calling out this tool. Having said that, every board needs its agitator/whipping boy, and he is it. W/o getting into token 1st amendment issues, he should stay under the caveat that any more blatant disrespect of dead3man, and he is toast. That is completely uncalled for.

It is quite funny how everyone called me out (except for Fanblade) for starting the poll on "Should he stay or should he go" about Rodney's future. Everyone said that the poll was not heathly for the program. Now that same tactic is being used by the same people who called me out. Look at yourselves....you are even copying my poll subject lines ("Should he stay or should he go"). Thanks for the implicit compliment. Last time there was a poll, Fanblade put a freaze on it.
This board needs to stop acting like babies and have constructive conversation to better out program. Oh, NO ONE has gone silent on this board because of my postings. It is actually completely opposite. I was the one who brought dead3man to the board with my initial thoughts of Deadwiler. He came defending his son. Months later, dead3man says he was going to remain silent, but continues to come back to post on the board (most recently this week). As such, no one as gone silent because of me. If I was a business man running this board, I would say Lionspride is adding additional hits to the website. ;D

Err...I am not too sure what I was trying to accomplish by using the same subject line as yours, I think I was trying to show the irony of things, maybe I was being too subtle?

Apologies! I obviously lurk on this forum 24/7 ex. look at my post count but there are spans of times that I am drinking or doing something else. lmu, I say this often but seriously, I think you are a great contributor and I personally consider you my friend . I understand where you are coming from. I created this board because I was sick of talking LMU sports with ignorant, arrogant, bitter LMU fans . Yes, they exist and in great number if you've talked with students unfortunately! There are many reasons for us LMU fans to be mad at times but I still appreciate the positive side of things because all things considered, LMU is a great place to be. I do not agree with everything lionspride and some others say but they have the right to say them. As long as they aren't harshly personally attacking people and clearly trying to be a disrupters I couldn't consider banning them. I've lurked many boards and see members at odds with one another. Some are heavily moderated to create a bubble and others are flat out free-for-alls. I think this board while it has gotten negative recently still keeps a good balance of what is representative of true LMU fans out there in the stands rooting for the lions through thick and thin. I understand that some people may be turned off. That is okay. A sports message board is not appropriate for everyone. People very close to the situation of course have a lot of emotional investment and inside knowledge, much more than chatter-boxes like us do and this might be a very difficult environment to try to communicate in. I understand that and would encourage those who are closely attached to players on the floor to read this site with a grain of salt (understanding) and limit their actions in the fray. They will always have a serious point of view to the conversation that us removed fans will never understand. This is the second season that this board has been around and I'm very happy to read dozens of opinions and interactions. Yes, some are outrageous or hair pulling, but most interesting. At the end of the day NCAA basketball is just entertainment and so is this board it isn't anything more cosmic. If anyone sees something getting very personal or very out of hand please let me know by PM if possible. I do not see everything and I do not want people being maliciously bashed but a few barbs and some disagreement is healthy imo. I do want to stress that all us lions fans should please try to stay positive. We have had a rough few seasons but the future is still yet to be written. We want and deserve the best. Let's not go after one another when we've got to clear these hurtles together. go lions!
