11 of our current players played in the SAY NO League on 3 teams! ASHLEY HAMILTON and VERNON TEEL played on Entertainment Tonight. Their record was 5-3. They lost in the playoffs ( Entertain. Tonight 70 - 74 to So. Cal Elite). BRAD SWEEZY and LARON ARMSTEAD played on Salvatori's Spirit. Their record was 4-4. QUINCY LAWSON,EDGAR GARIBAY,JARRED DUBOIS,ALEX OSBOURNE, GIVEN KALLIPINDE, DREW VINEY and KEVIN BARADINI played on Tall Money All Stars. Their record was 2-6.

Make sure to also add Drew Viney to the List of Tall Money All-Stars.
I was looking at the box scores and suprisingly enough, Ashley and Vernon did not really have great games, no real big games, and lots of them they did not play. Hopefully it wont reflect what they are bringing at LMU.
Laron and Brad had somewhat decent games, even at one point Laron having a 20 point game and Brad having 6...thats a lot for Brad....
The Big games came out of the LMU players on the Tall Money All-Stars. I am really looking forward to Alex Osborne, and Edgar Garibay having considerable playing time in this tourny and having the numbers to show that he really has got some talent!!!!
Just an observation!

Checked the website - a lot of individual game stats were no longer available. None of the LMU players appeared in the stat leaders in any category. Perhaps this was just a fun event. ::)Keion Bell of Pepperdine did show up many places - this kid is a player. Like dedicatedlionsfan, I hope this event, which ended earlier this month (August 2) is not indicative of next year's success. Hard to see Teel not showing up somewhere in the stats. Coach Good apparently was not on the sidelines to throw something somewhere!

lummbbfan,
Please say you are not a LMU grad. I felt like I was reading a First graders essay. Please say you graduated from Pepperdine, or Dorsey High. Remember this is not a texting board. Use english! Theres a lot of us Geezers on this board and we want to understand what you're saying.
I agree wrschnicke, The SAYNO performance of our guys was worrisome. Viney was pretty much a non-factor in that league and he is touted as being our best. So I hope we are not getting set up for another disappointing season.

From talking to some of the guys, attendance was sporadic at best, and they looked at it as nothing more then normal pick-up games in the gym. I wouldn't be too worried about individual performances in that situation. Coach Good will make them play like a team and DEFEND like a team. There is so much depth now with little drop off that anyone getting a large ego can be stopped quickly. I don't think we will see a 39 point performance at LMU for a long time, unless its a team effort.
