thats a little unfair. As much as I hated him, he did put on quite the show on our court. I'll give him a couple more seasons before i put him as a top 5 bust. He had a decent rookie year(although he shot terribly), and lost a season to a bad knee injury. Most here are probably lakers fans, and the difference between Andrew Bynum pre-each of his two knee injuries vs him after is huge, and its something that should be considered when looking at his last season.
He had a nice showing at the summer league, and once his knee is 100% he'll have a fair shot at proving himself. Assuming he puts in the effort, and he knows the pressure is on, he could easily find a place in the league if a guy like Jason Kapono can earn a respected role in the nba. Who knows, maybe in a couple years he will be a definite bust, but considering he owned us like he did i'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Easy now, Dedicated. If the article talked about the past two decades, our beloved Bo Kimble would be right near the top - - - and you would be pretty pissed off if a Gonzaga fan wrote about that.
Let's stick to the positive.

Man I almost puked as much of a big deal as they made about his diabete's. There are many pro and college athletes that have had far bigger disabilities than that "it". The sooner he stops playing Basketball, the skill level will go up dramatically in the NBA. He need's to get a "real" job and figure out life. Did you see him on Jimmy Kimmel...he is painfully odd . He will probably lose much of his nest egg to his agent and other "bad investments" so I imagine in about 10 or so years he will be forced to have Few help him get a job for some type of income then. Needless to say I believe this young man needs some kind of serious help...whether it be mental,emotional,etc.... He had shooting talent at one time.....but he's kinda like a cougar who want's a kid the clock is ticking, tick, tock , tick , tock. out of the league after next year.

I for one, was a huge fan of Morison. I loved his scappy play and in your face psychological warfare tactics. His "cry baby tactic" was one of the most effective psychological tools I've observed in college ball. I would see him set up the defensive player throw himself into the kid and then fall flat on the foor pointing. Inevitably , the other player became defensive and rattled and Morrison would have his way the rest of the game. True artistry! and a good pratictioner of Sun Tzu's art of war. I hope we get a few of these "mind sets" from Max's crew.
He elevated the WCC the same way Bo and Hank did. I really want this guy to succeed. I've always seen him in the mode of Pistol Pete Marovich, a scapper! He's in my prayers for success.

Waterboy - thanks for the thoughtful comments. I know this - Morrison was a royal pain for LMU with his ability to take over the game and has great potential. I think he simply went too high in the draft, had too many expectations on his play and could not handle the pressure. Now as a reserve on the Lakers and performing well in summer league without the stress to be the greatest, I think he will again find his game and become a contributor to Jackson's success. The Lakers have the luxury of being patient and this kid has the potential to succeed given he has time to find his moment in history.

Okay waterboy. I honestly couldn't figure out if I was supposed to take your response seriously or not.
His faking fouls tactic? His ability to win the hearts of the referees with his whining about things that didn't happen....I am totally aware that this is all (unfortunately) "part of the game." However, it seemed like it was the only game Morrison had. He got to the NBA, and that fake stuff couldn't save him from drowning in a kiddie pool.
I'm POed that he got a championship ring just for SITTING BEHIND THE BENCH.

Crazygirl , You can take me seriously. Morrison is multidimensional. Lets give him 3-4 years in the league. If he fails too bad. But, ayone who diss's this guy is simply a basketball fool who I have no time for!
