The team has had a great season opening! The best ever actually including 2004 when we were also 8-2. We have a good chance when we host #9 Long Beach on Saturday of setting a new record! Big things in store for this team led by amazing goalie Andy Stevens. I hope a lot of people come out and support the lions. 9/24 Top 10 1st Stanford 2nd UCLA 3rd USC 4th Cal 5th LMU 6th UCSB 7th UCI 8th Pepperdine 9th LBSU 10th SCU

Thank you! Excellent read on one of our star water polo student-athletes Tibor Forai www.laloyolan.com/sports/forai-embodies-true-meaning-of-student-athlete-1.2062357Lions dropped their season finale to LBSU but we should still be a lock for top seed at the WWPA championship. We need to not be complacent as the season comes to a close because Santa Clara and UCD will be desperate to get into the Final 4 and take our spot in the process. This season we also struggled getting a signature win from a top #4 team but that could change in the NCAA finals. Go lions.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the team. Water Polo is one of LMU's strongest sports and it would be nice to see it stay that way.

LMU rolled over Santa Clara to reach the finals. They will face UCSD in the championship. Winner of that game will proceed to the NCAA Final Four. LMU will be "favored" by about 5-6 points.

early in the 4th period. 7:07 remaining LMU 6 UCLA 7. Keeping it close! Would be a huge win for us. Keep up the defensive pressure lions!

UCLA wins in another nail biting trip in the NCAAs. Last year LMU nearly beat stanford. We have trouble still beating the "elite" teams but do a hell of a job keeping up with them. Andy Stevens our goalie is phenomenal. A lot of talent. Next year should be BIG. LMU plays Princeton for 3rd place tomorrow.
