Saw that article today in the Times. A wake up call for UCLA perhaps? Don't weep for UCLA which perennially recruits ESPN Scouts top 100 new players to the team, often to see these same studs depart early before the team actually gels. I prefer our mid-major status where the players are real student-athletes and finish their college tenure before moving on into the cruel world. Do you think it is a good year to play a rebuilding USC? I think maybe so, even though their general athletic reputation and $$$ are not to be underestimated. A nice headline in the November 22 LA Times - "Trojans Upset By Upstart LMU Lions!" I plan to attend our game vs the Trojans to see the Galen Center and a potential upset. What is the parking cost there - $12, $15, or what!

Concordia has always been a solid team in the past, no surprise that they took the depleted Bruins to a close game

I have to say that UCLA-Fullerton game last night was just painful to watch. The reason it went to 2OT was that both teams were so horribly bad, neither could win. It was like watching slapstick basketball. Neither team could score, turnover after turnover, and flat out missed layups. Lots and lots of them.
I expect sloppy out of control from Fullerton. But UCLA was far worse than I imagined!
