Gonzaga is playing Augustana ILL and currently leading 48-18 with 16 minutes left. I guess Augustana is playing a "slow down" strategy. There was no line on this game in this morning's paper. I am not sure the win or the game will help the Zags' RPI either. Let's not ask too many more questions about how AAU got on our schedule.

Great point wr. If LMU has no biz playing NCAA Div II AofA, what about Zags playing Div III, not II, Augustana? And it's not an exhibition, it counts towards win/loss record.

First I went to the Augustana website to see if there was a connection of coaches. So if Few was tryng to get an old assistant a note worthy game but there wasnt that I could see. Other sports do this like football when USC played Idaho a few years back. However I found out that AC is traveling to UW next which is one hell of a week for a Div III team to play 2 top 25 teams. One thing about their website that was awesome was they have someone with them on the road almost blogging about the trip and the delays at the airport and just other random things that are going on so the fans can stay in touch. If you want to take a look here is the link. www.augustana.edu/x17589.xmlAnd I dont think it counts in your RPI but yes a team can add it to the win loss record.

You're right, 2011. It doesn't count towards your RPI but will show up in win/loss record. Only games against Div I count towards RPI.
