I know this is a basketball site but I wanted to call attention to the Lions baseball team this year. Last sesason we sent 5 players to MLB baseball and they are paying their dues in the minor leagues. This year, we started dismally, losing our first 6 games before a (perhaps) welcome rainout of a double header. Since then, the team has gone on a 13-5 tear and this afternoon hosts USC at Page Stadium. If you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of baseball, you might look into seeing these promising Lions in action this season.
(I won't put more baseball comments on the basketball site!)

I keep tabs on the baseball team as well. Good to see the turnaround after a disappointing start. I will make it out for some games this year as I have good friends with players on both LMU and other WCC squads.

After a 12-4 beatdown of UCSB today, the Lions have won 12 of their last 14 games and 7 out of their last 8.
Quite a turnaround after a rough start.
The Lions lost a lot of talent from last year, but clearly they have plenty of young talent and it is starting to develop.
I think Coach Gill has done an outstanding job in his time here.

Just saw on the WCC website that Jason Gill will be interviewed on their radio show tonight at 8:30. Looks like he will be on after Randy Bennett and Omar Samhan of Saint Mary's and you can send questions to wcclive@ymail.com
