A big challenge for the women traveling to Portland. The Pilots only have one loss, to #1 Stanford this year. The Pilots are busy, on the Pilot Nation website anyway, and unconcerned about the threat from LMU and Peppers this weekend. They believe they will win out and are wondering who and where they will play and as usual if they will get a number one seed for the tourney.
They play these games for a reason and a result in Oregon for the Lions is not out of the question. We can defend and we have a potent offense.
The stands will be filled with purple clad fans rooting for the Pilots but what better place to impress the pollsters and selection committee.
Go Lions!

Perhaps they will overlook us, eh? Portland had a reasonable contingent of supporters at Sullivan Field for our contest against the men.

Maybe we can sneak in and get lost in the crowd. They, yes the women, average 3651 in attendence at home. U Washington was over 4200, Oregon over 4400 and Texas A&M 4517.

Our women lost 2-0. Both goals in first half. We almost got one back before the break but couldn't push it across. Our defense played tough in the second half and we had a couple of chances but they held us out.
The Zags are next and they beat the Peppers 1-0 in OT.
