The Lions need another win Sunday at home against USF to stay alive in the hunt for a NCAA berth.
Couple that win with a USD victory over Gonzaga and the Lions will climb another rung in the WCC standings.

The Dons left Sullivan Field with the tie they came into the game looking for. They were content playing back for almost the entire game save for two minutes or so toward the end of the game when it actually looked like they were trying to steal a result. LMU just couldn't find the answer to unlock their defense.
Whenever the Lions got forward they were outnumbered in the box by at least 6 defenders to at most three attackers. USF just jammed up the attacking third. Most of LMUs shots were off target or right at the USF keeper.

The Lions dream of making it to the postseason got cloudier yesterday. Gonzaga jumped up again and this time defeated USD. They only have USF and the Gaels left so now may think they have a chance at a berth. Finishing conference with a 5-2 record and in third place may do it for them. USD has the Lions and Peppers, a tougher set to play than the Zags.
The Lions have a tough road ahead also. They need to beat Sta Clara on the road and then knock off USD in the final conference game.
The Zags are making a late push for the third spot the Lions Peppers and Toreros all need help from the Bay area to stop them.

Gonzaga needs two wins in the last week to finish above 500 to qualify for the tourney and the last NCAA rpi had them at 96. For them it might be too late to climb above enough teams to make it anyway.
It may end up that only Portland and Sta Clara go with the rest of the WCC chewing each other up this year.
