The Lion Men defeated the Toreros tonight in San Diego 2-1 in overtime. Sunday the Lions will have the chance to do it again in front of the home fans. The Toreros were undefeated in conference. It will be a happy trip home tonight. Good job Lions!

Let's see if we can get any momentum going at this point by winning today. We seem to let down after some big games that go our way - we need to turn that around. Looks like the WCC is awfully competitive this year with all the upsets happening - any team seems capable of beating any other team on a given day! Consistency, that is on the side of good play, will be important during the remainder of the season.

And NO! Almost predictable - we lost today to USD at home 4-1. Our only goal came on a penalty kick by Baca. Although LMU did not play badly, we were simply outplayed by USD on both ends of the field. I guess they wanted revenge for Friday's loss! USD did play very well today. The game was quite physical with lots of yellow cards called (at least 4). Quite a few USD fans were here for the game. Let's see if we can get back on track in our next game.
