Lions go on the road for another two tests next weekend.
Both these opponents will try and take advantage of the Lions on the road. Kentucky will be up first and may have as many as six freshmen starting. But they have already won a couple of close games and are used to winning a lot of games. They have just missed the tournament the last couple of years and will be trying to make their case with a win against us. We can't look past these guys.
Butler will be the tougher challenge. 14-3-2 last year and were the Horizen league champ. They are a veteran team like us, having 10 starters returning. Three of their back four returns with their keeper.
They were ranked last year as high as 17.
I wish we could see this one.

What a game! Lions win 1-0 in OT. Rafa hit the post with one second left in regular time, but it only took LMU 15 seconds into OT to get the winner. Much like the SDSU game. Ponce with the winner, he was due for one.

Lions are playing exciting soccer! Ponce is a great addition for the team and is playing really well. Butler next! Thanks for the scoreline 30p. Go LIONS!

David Ponce has wasted little time fitting in with the Lions. And he must like teaming up again with Boland and Reiter from the Pateadores. All three somehow have found their way to LMU after wandering about the country.

This is a long and tough road swing for the Lions. No games at home for a month or so is a challenge when you account for the toll travel can take on a team. It will be good to get these guys home but I guess it is good preparation for what a team needs to succeed. Let's win the remaining games and keep the great start to the season going. Go Lions!
