Penn to challenge women on Sunday!!
The Penn defense may be tougher to crack than Utah State. Friday night in Northridge they beat CSUN 1-0 at home.
Norhtridge lost 2-1 to Portland and has a 2-1 win over the Peppers this year.

The Lions had a lot of chances to put this one away and out of the reach of the Quakers. The Lions were in total control most of the game, but with only a 1-0 lead there were moments of nervousness in the second half. Rachel cleared one shot off the line and our keeper had to tip one over the bar. As the clock ticked down Penn gradually moved more attackers up front until at the end everyone was forward. The Lion defense held fast and preserved the victory.
Another win for the Lions. The womens team continues to march forward. They could easily have broken free and scored a boatload of goals. It's going to happen one of these days.

The Lion women continue to impress. The team continues to improve each week. They are still flying under the radar but that will change as they continue to pile up wins. They are now 6-2. For some reason Top Drawer has us with 2 less wins and 2 more losses. Maybe they'll figure it out sometime soon. I see more wins on the horizon.
The real test will come in conference but I think we'll be ready. Our offense is formidable. We have four players upfront all of whom can score at any time. Our midfield is strong and the defense is solid.
These Lions are going to have a good year!
