Tara Erdmann won the womens 10 K at the Stanford Invite in a great race running away at the end against some of the nations best. You can follow the links at the Lion Athletic site to watch the race like I did, it takes 33 minutes 10 seconds, but watching her win was worth the half hour plus. Congratulations to Tara!
Sheree Shea also won in the 5K in 16:27 giving the Lions wins in both distance races on the track.
Pretty impressive for a school without a quarter mile track.

Albeit it is early in the outdoor track season, it appears that Tara's 10K time is the best in the nation this year so far! That's numero uno, my friends!

Fresh off her mile win at UCLA last week Tara Erdmann ran into some stiff competition last night at the Mount Sac Relays. It looks like she posted a personal best time of 15:54 for 5K on the track in the womens elite invite. A quick check of the LMU record book shows it as a school record smashing the previous mark. She finished back in the pack at number 18 but it looks like 5th just counting NCAA entrees.
