Seems the raters lost interest after the first top teams Time to mature after an admittedly bad car wreck is viewed as a negative while I think the maturation advantage is a plus - assuming no life changing disabities. I think wel'll surprise this "analyst."

No mention of Hermann should tell you all you need to know about this article. The word is that he is supposedly one of if not the best player on the roster... we will see though.. so many unknowns on the team. I think we could finish dead last or as close as 5th.

I've not seen Herman play, but when a coach of Dunlap's experience says he doesn't think he will keep the guy for 4 years, it's gotta raise your eyebrows.
None of the pre-season ratings analyses ever carry any credibility once you get past the top teams. The guys writing the articles simply don't do the research. That being said, it doesn't bother me to see all the analysts placing LMU at the bottom of the WCC with Pacific. It's virtually impossible to prognosticate the Lions' season with virtually an entirely new team from last year ... and a new coach who is going to present an entirely different look.

I would guess that pundits are thinking that it will take time to install a new game system also, further discounting the talent (recognized or not) on the team. I've said it before but I like the underdog role - it motivates the players and coaches. Should be an interesting season indeed!
