Almost hate to admit it but the Luons might be a better "team" without Evan on the floor. They have to look for each other to make some offense on the court! Not just for Evan and that seems healthy so far. The black cloud has passed over my head for the moment- go Lions beat the 21 point spread!

At least others are being aggressive offensively and shooting.

I wonder why they don't run more plays for Hayes - He is a gunner

We need to run more plays for both Matt and David. Both are capable of knocking down open shots.

Looked to me that we opened up our offense and got good results. Humphries turned in his best game since the practice game with U Cal San Diego; Evan missed that game too but I doubt anyone is ready to advocate a Humphries instead of Payne switch just yet. Now Matt (1)shoulder must have felt better (2) found some confidence (3) got the green light , or all of the above. His rapid 3 back to back 3's were from NBA range or beyond. The biggest story, however was our "bigs". Marin was probably our leading scorer with Godwin not far behind. Interior defense was good also with BYU hardly scoring at all on the inside. Back home next week. There is always a chance afterall we beat the spread easily while our upcoming opponents did not. Portland was upset by San Fran and Gonzaga won by only 22 (their spread was 24 - damnit).

BYU has great shooting and can move the ball but they have zero on the inside. Nate Austin is their only big and he's been injured. Kauai has a good future but he's still learning the game. Our bugs should have had big games.

I really enjoyed that game sat in front of my computer here in Aussie ,much more of a team game, as good as Evan is with his offence i did'nt think they missed him it seemed to free up players, Matt showed how good he is from the 3 point line tonight i hope he gets more game time in the future,David stepped up and put in a good game,Egbeyemi and Money had good games,we seem to give some silly fouls away that set us back at important times during the game but i enjoyed watching the game, lets hope its onward and upwards from now on

Aussie - I agree with your comments Now if only Dunlap can find a way for the players to perform like last night WITH Evan in the game, we'll really have something!
