Ndiaeye had a big game against us last year. We didn't have anyone even coming close to stopping him.
..... And I believe we are smaller this year.

Ndaieye is fragile- he did play in Gersten with NBA scouts in the house. I don't doubt his dominance inside but the Lions have some athletes and bulk (not height) to counter. Athletic department has some nice videos by the new guys on the LMU website. Should be an interesting season - this is becoming Dunlaps team for better or worse?

Time to see if Dunlap will really run the guys up and down the floor. THat big UCI center can't hang in a fast pace

I agree. Dunlap said he recruited players to run and press. N'diaye can't play that game.

I'm very interested in seeing this year's recruits in action.
His stated a desire to play aggressive, pressing offenses and defense last year. Then, he brought in one of the slowest recruiting classes I've seen. Then during the season he threw a tarp over the one guy who could run.
Are this year's recruits along the line of what he says he wants? Will he really let the guys run a little?
I hope your optimism is warranted. As for me, I want to see these new guys actually play before I get my hopes up.

I have watched the video intros of the new guys and am impressed with their basketball and team mentality. I'll give Dunlap a chance to sow what he has reaped in recruits - they look like dudes to me. Go Lions!

I have to digest this but it looks like an OK schedule to prepare for the WCC season. I'll be interested to see how Dunlap brings all the new guys into a team. Calapari does it year after year but with NBA types. Can Dunlap bring us up to that standard?

1 BCS opponent, 2 more opponents from quality BB conferences. UCSB is usually pretty good.
Not much geographic diversity.
It's not a great schedule but given where we are at the moment, it's probably about right.

Oops. My mistake. Not sure why I thought the Gauchos were on the schedule. Maybe it was wishful thinking for an opponent with some quality history. The schedule is way too Big West centric for my liking. But like I said in my previous post, it's probably appropriate for where we are as a team at this point in time.

Time to take off the blinders guys. Face the facts. This team was was awful last year and as a program not good overall. We're lucky to be playing Big West opponents based off geography, and not a bunch of Big Sky, SWAC or MEAC teams. If you want to play good teams, be decent.

Slb - huh, blinders? I agree we aren't any better than a Big West entry. That's what I said. I wish we were better, but the past several years have proven otherwise.
