We have an atrocious record at Malibu in the last 35 years. A win there would give us a moral victory for this season.

Does a win even mean anything at this point in the season?

A win here does mean a lot to me. Yes, Firestone Fieldhouse has been a house of horrors for us. So any win against Pepperdine, in any sport, is good.
Also, in the overall scheme, we have not had consecutive winning seasons in 32 years. Since Jay Hillock. So I would like to see us break that streak this season.

Lions are favored by 1 tonite but like thx says we traditionally don’t do well in Malibu.

Why haven’t we attacked the basket like this all season?

If we had played like tonite all year, the season would have a different complexion. Coach finally has Keli under the basket where he belongs. Free throw shooting is really helping the Lions. Go Lions! 🦁

It’s official the lions aren’t the worst coached team in the NCAA. It’s the Waves of Pepperdine.
I have never seen a worse 2 minute end of game scenario than what I just saw from the waves. We are lucky to walk away with a win tonight. Wow.
Unbelievable. Romar is a terrible coach.

He dresses as sloppily as his team plays too.

He dresses as sloppily as his team plays too. No kidding. It’s quite embarassing actually. The lack of professionalism IMHO

LMU had a nineteen point lead yet did their best to lose in the waning moments. I couldn’t believe the number of missed shots at the end of the game. Tonight, the Lions truly showed what they’re capable of - both the good and the bad!
And, yes, Romar is a miserable game coach.
