8-)Siena College, the Cinderella team of 2009, lead Louisville by four points late in the game today but could not pull it out. Interestingly (perhaps) is the fact that of their last 8 recruits, none were rated by the scouts in the 80s or above. Perhaps there isn't much else to focus on in this small Catholic school (<400 undergraduate students) 8-)in the suburbs of Albany, New York, but maybe there is something in the water there - or not in the scouting reports?

That would have so busted my bracket it wouldn't have been funny. I love rooting for the underdog but ai ai ai!

Actually, "Siena’s 3,000 undergraduates enroll in one of three schools – Liberal Arts, Science, and Business" per the College's website. There is no such thing as a D1 basketball School that has <400 undergrads... That's just absurd! Perhaps you meant <4,000?

Whoa now lmu2008. I am pretty sure he meant under 4,000. Yes under 400 would be out of the question. I believe the smallest D1 school has around 2,000. Actually maybe ~1000 as Presbyterian has 1,300 according to wikipedia.

Thanks for the correction here - of course you are correct lmu2008. The main idea was they are a small school (which they are) winning with no superstars (at least in the recruiting domain). Perhaps, the "one and done" players are not the route to success in all cases.
