www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-clippers27-2009mar27,0,3565318.story If Isiah is offering to coach the Clippers for free because his daughter is going to LMU, imagine what would have happened if we had a head coaching vacancy!!! I bet he would have offered and Husak would have taken him up on it. I bet Charles Bradley would have done a better job with the Knicks than Isiah did.

Why would we ever want Isiah Thomas?
As a commissioner he ran the CBA into bankruptcy.
As the Knicks GM he had the highest payroll and the second worst record in the league.
As coach of the Knicks he had the most losses in a single season in franchise history.
Additionally he was the defendent in one of the biggest sexual harassments suits in history that caused the Knicks 11.6 million dollars.

FIU has an incredibly weak basketball tradition in a unspectacular and large conference (SunBelt). Should be interesting to see what he's able to make happen there but even if he implodes it won't even be a blip on ESPNews. I can't imagine they are paying him much either. Should be nice weather in Miami though!

I am glad we did not offer the job to Isaiah. He was a great player but horrible manager. He single handedly screwed up the nick for the next 5 years and blantently sexually harassed someone in the work place and then tried to defend himself with a lame excuse as i use those saying everyday.
If you thought the Bayno hiring and leaving was bad the Isiah hiring would have been worse and probably ended worse.

Don't forget that after the police came to his house to investigate his suicide attempt, he publicly said it was his daughter and not he who tried to take his own life. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3663455
