From lmulions.com
*Five of the Lions' seven setbacks have come by six points or less
*Combined are at an average of just over four points.
*In all five of those games, the Lions were tied or held a lead with under three minutes to play.
Imagine what could have been . . .

It's called "learning to win" and we are getting there - I hope!

We're definitely improving at closing games. Still room to grow but they've stepped up in close games to ensure we get stops and move the ball well. Previously we were getting killed because of dumb turnovers, missed freethrows, and an inability to get stops while letting teams streak on us.
This last game I remember one timeout with under ten to go, we were turning the ball over and looked lost on D and were letting the game fall out of our gasp. Max had them set right coming out of the TO, Teel moved the ball calmly up the floor and moved it around for the good look. We held up against the fullcourt press, and on the defensive end they looked way better than they have in some earlier games. In overtime, they were disciplined in milking the clock and holding onto the game.
they look a bit more confident, and seem to finally have some composure. I think having davis out there helps loosen things up on the floor offensively, even if he's not scoring a bunch, his presence keeps the defense honest.

After Sacremento State game, we are learning how to close with the win but we need to work on the "keep the big lead" thing next. If we keep closing well, we will be OK but if we learn the next part, I can reduce my blood pressure meds!
