Congratulations to O.J. I would love to see a great performance out of him tomorrow evening at Gersten. Our Lions seem to play better on the road. We need to turn that around.

Johnson a freshman phenom at Loyola John Devine County clipboard Article Last Updated: 12/24/2007 01:32:21 AM PST
Eleven games into his collegiate career and Orlando Johnson is on pace to obliterate the Loyola-Marymount freshman single-season scoring record.
A 25-point effort — the third highest freshman single game total at Loyola-Marymount — last week earned the 6-foot-6 Johnson co-West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors.
Johnson was 8-of-16 from the field and 4-of-8 from beyond the 3-point arc. He also pulled down eight rebounds and was on the court for a career high 33 minutes against Riverside.
Through 11 games, Johnson is averaging 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds a game. He's on pace to break freshman records for points and rebounds at Loyola-Marymount.
Last year Johnson led Palma to a Central Coast Section Division IV title and a spot in the State Northern California Division IV semifinals.
