Does anyone know why we have switched our uniform jersey design this year? A quick peak of this is seen on our website in the roster section and click on a player profile. Below is a link for your convenience: lmulions.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/walker_brandon00.htmlAny thoughts on the new look? Does anyone know what color the road jersey's will be? Navy or Crimson?

Seems weird how they pushed the crimson the last couple years (court design, etc), and then switch to being predominantly navy.

It seems the University is trying to shrug the Crimson. I agree with your comments about the court colors....Crimson baselines. Probably should have been NAVY. It seems as if every year there is something "off" about the consistency. Look at the new re-designed LMU.edu website. All you see is blue. Not even sure if that is NAVY. Well, I guess some parts (upper by the LMU logo) are NAVY. I wish we could get an "administration" answer on what the OFFICIAL colors are and what is the branding vision? Are we do for a new Lion image? Any thoughts?

The last thing that we need is a new athletic logo package. What we have now is arguably the best in the conference, although I do wish that we would have a little more emphasis placed on the "leaping lion" logo that was last featured on the shorts in the 03-04 season, as opposed to the overuse of the arched wordmark. The funny thing is that the women also have new uniforms, but have crimson trim and have the wordmark on the homes with crimson as the dominant color. Who knows? Maybe Adidas is dictating what we wear by what they consider trendy. Just as long as we don't mimic what Nike is doing with Oregon football, we're good.

The lmu.edu color is almost teal and that is because of focus groups (they liked a brighter color) but the official colors are still navy and crimson. I wish the homepage was navy, the light blue doesn't do it for me. . I think the newly designed uniforms are just to add some change not really an affront to crimson. The new "decorations" strung around the court are definitely the traditional red and blue we are used to seeing. At midnight madness the team was sporting new Jersey's as well I believe. They looked the same as these but reversed color (navy as the solid). I'd rather not see us redo the lion images. I do not want to be surprised by some odd looking creation that some of our WCC friends have come up with recently. The varsity lettering of LMU is also pretty sharp imo. Echo Pepbander, I think LMU's got the best athletic logo package in the conference and NCAAs. But there is a real lack of consistency ie lion smiling, lion growling, lion crawling, lions leaping, lion staring etc etc but they are all good.

Regarding madness, the men appeared to be wearing practice uniforms (I was in the front row of the band section, so I had a pretty good look at them). I really do hope that they have crimson road unis, and that they keep the arched "Loyola Marymount." That was a good look for them, allbeit with illegible gray text.

Haha, they have an "old school" feel. I hope they come back too.

Gray seems to becoming more and more prevalent in the university image. Gray and Navy. I am not sticking up for this decision...but crimson may be a bit too '70s.

Glad they finally updated the roster pics at least. Why no words about the scrimmage on the webpage? AD hoping half the season passes before anyone notices? I haven't seen any advertising for the upcoming season. Anyone outside of posters here know basketball season is approaching

Personally, I would like to focus more on Navy and Grey. Perhpas it has something to do with Fr. Lawton and his Gtown connection.
Go Lions.

ironlion:
Strongly agree with the NAVY and GRAY. Whatever colors, I just want it consistent throughout the university and athletics. They seems to not be on the same page some of the times.

I haven't seen any advertising for the upcoming season. Anyone outside of posters here know basketball season is approaching Idawg, agree with your comments. I will be VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED if we don't have more than 2,000+ for the first game against Arkansas-Little Rock. 2,000 is bare minimum in my book. If we cannot reach that, we have attendance issues. __________________________________ Signature How to increase attendance at LMU Basketball Games 1) Tell someone you know that does not attend games and have them join you; 2) Call the athletic office and ask what they are doing to bring awareness of LMU basketball to the community (let alone its own student population) 3) Donate your tax deductible contribution specifically to LMU Men's Basketball and have it tagged for increased publicity. LionsPride's answer to most things = attendance
