If it bleeds it leads. I mean wouldn't we be better off talking about blowouts, fired coaches, or destroying the team! Just joking. I like the reminder that these guys are just freshmen.

That really is interesting. The only stats that are off seem to be Sutton but he's improving since earlier this season. Thanks.

Nice comparisons!
The one note that should be added is Knight played injured most of his freshman year.

Some ESPN recruiting writer made a comment about being skeptical of OJ's upside. I think it is really clear that he is one of our most talented freshmen in a long time and I hope he has a stellar career. There is a lot of pressure on him and he seems to being doing fine. Should be very fun to read some of these threads 2 years from now!

27 view....no responses? Somebody has to have SOMETHING to say...positive or negative..... jlion...thanks for comparables, but what the heck are you comparing.....athlete to athlete from TEAMS who did not hit the .500 mark, did not go to the NCAA Tournament. Please don't compare to other missed LMU marks. Your statistics only make things worse. Those previous players did not take us to the promise land, so why should we be convinced that these well when they match up closely now? Are you saying we are destined to have similar records and results from the past? That is how I take those statistics of yours. Get realistic. Start comparing us to other WCC team's now. We are getting run out of the gym. As we get better, so will other teams in our conference. It's a team effort and our team is not getting it done. We can have all the individual performances we want and compare past with the present. But we need to get to the dance. Let's be smarter than that when posting future comparables.

They were all bad players. I would hate to have Orlando be a Brandon Worthy and for Tim to be a Matty Knight. Wow.. this whole negative thing does feel kinda good!

Thanks for the perspective lesson, lionspride.
Now, we can all go back and get depressed again.
Thanks for that.

Thanks for the perspective lesson, lionspride. Now, we can all go back and get depressed again. Thanks for that. I guess I should have said, yes, future looks optimistic. A .500 finish in 2009-2010 is possible if none of our players get injuried. If we get injuried, well that is a different story. Spin it whatever way you want it, but it does = NCAA Tournament bid. Along the way in building a basketball program, it may help to validate how sustainable a program is by getting a invitation to the dance. Without it, I am not sure how solid that program is?
