Anyone got any tips to what the schedule is looking like?
I thought last non conference season's was pretty good.
Will Boise State and San Diego State play us at home?
Who would you like to see appear on the list?

One school who probably won't be on our non-conference schedule is USC.
USC will have the most arduous non-conference schedule in 2007-08 (as they will be playing Florida, Memphis, Oklahoma and Kansas).

Also from the Stockton Record. Info about a SoCal tournament. Could be really great. LMU or Pepperdine should make it in either this or the coming year.
The Big West Conference and ESPN are negotiating the management contract for a new men's basketball tournament that will be held Thanksgiving weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Big West commissioner Dennis Farrell said the Big West is meeting with ESPN representatives this week, and an announcement could be coming soon. Farrell said the Big West would manage the event, and in return the conference will be guaranteed a position in the tournament each year. Farrell said the eight-team tournament will include one team from the Pacific-10, Western Athletic and West Coast conferences and additional teams from other conferences such as the Southeastern and Big Ten.
The inaugural event is set for November. Farrell said USC will represent the Pac-10, likely making the tournament the national coming-out party for prized recruit O.J. Mayo, and UC Irvine will represent the Big West, followed in subsequent years by Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State.
"The first three years, (ESPN) would like the three local schools to participate to help get it off the ground from a local publicity and crowd standpoint," Farrell said. "It's a real exciting possibility for our schools to participate in an event like that in their own backyard."

Hope Int'l must a Church of Christ school. I'm sure both Pepperdine and our schdule will be alittle soft this year as we are both rebuilding.

The 49ers always seem to have our number...but I would love to give them some payback after that buzzer beater loss last season!
Go Lions.

That Long Beach State game really hurt last year. It turned the tide in the other direction. If that shot would not have fell for the 49ers, the team could have realized it could win without Worthy and Knight. Instead an eight game losing streak ensued and there went the confidence.
Our young team needs to bring it on strong this year with the 49ers. We need to state our claim for So. Cal superemcy among non Pac-10 teams this year and carry that out for years to come.
Go Lions!

We will be playing UCR in Nov/Dec. can't remember the exact date. UCR just hired a new coach and there is a sense of turning around the program with the new coach. UCR will likely finish in the middle of pack in the Big West Conference.

Believe it or not, I actually think UCR did a pretty good job on recruiting. They hired a coach in April and immediately recruited a 3 star player. Prior to this, they recruited the big west freshman of the year last year, although he is leaving to play pro ball in europe after just one year.

New Head Coach and they kept one of my good friends Vonn Webb as a Assistant (Last year he ran the show while Spencer was on Medical Leave) on board. Webb is on the road all the time recruiting. Not saying no other coaches are out there but I know he is.
I think it will be a good game with Junior Larry Cunningham earning Big West Honorable Mention for UCR and some good JUCO recruits from last year to go along with there 6'8 guy they just signed. It will be a good game for our young but talented team of of players.
Coach T and his staff I'm sure are putting together a good and competitive schedule for this years team. I can't wait to see the whole thing, does anyone have a sneak peak?
