Do not forget a 92-57 win over EWU in the pit before this tourney. Will be interesting to see how the lions play.
I hope OJ is okay after he got a nasty elbow to the nose last game. Saw in the lions preview his performance gets him a spot in the record books for most points by a freshmen in a single game (#10) the first to do so since Brandon Worthy's 24 against Loy-Chicago.

OUr team can't shoot. Not anywhere on the court nor from the line. Pathetic.

I am not thrilled with our tournament performance but the team has gotten better. I am glad that Ziri looks like he is stepping up to lead the team and OJ is showing shades of greatness.
The foul line shooting is bizarre. These kids are much better than the anemic attempts that have been hurled up. I think nerves and confidence have a lot to play. If we could fix this glaring weakness then I'd be singing a new tune about our performance and I'm sure we'd be walking out with a 2-1 record.
We've gotten better but we need to get a lot better. FT workshop asap!

The offense is in better flow now but still we have to knock down shots. I am tired of hearing our shots hitting the back of the iron or rattling out of the rim. I don't get the feeling players have developed a good shooting touch at all.
We committed 24 TOs in this game, so there are still a lot of things the team need to work on.

If we can work on our turn-overs and free throws we will start to win some more games. Luckily its still early in the season. I'm like that we are slowly making progress. Playing New Mex in the Pit is a tall order for any team.
Go Lions.

It was a lot of good experience for the team to play 3 teams in 3 days.

Great for OJ. I think Ziri did a lot of good for us as well. Him putting up 19 some points and all over the stats sheet is something we will need consistently.

UNM in the Pit is very legit. It is encouraging we were able to hang with them for awhile. Once we get the kinks out this season can still be very fruitful.
