ironlions, any whispers about Ameer? It's a slow day at work. He should have visited Reno by now. If he is waiting to make a decision that might be to our advantage.

I have been checking the boards but no word yet. I believe he visited OSU this past weekend and Reno this weekend (Reno visit was postponed one week). A interesting side note both schools are also going after Terrell Holloway...a guard ranked a bit higher than Ameer. I think we will should be getting the final word next week.
If we don't get him there are a few more guys left out there. One guard in particular that seems interesting is Oscar Benifield (sp?) a three star guard at Westchester. Perhaps Isaiah can persuade him.
Haven't heard any additional news about Wendell.
I will post any info I get.

Oscar Bellfield is a really good player. Would be great if we could snag him. Haven't seen LMU show up on his radar occurding to the recuriting sites but is hard to imagine with Jenkins and Mrs T would let him slip by. Would be great to pick him up and we'd have bonafide connections to the comets.

A very promsing update for us to land Ameer! London Giles a point guard out of Texas just committed to Nevada. Great news for us!

Things just getting better. The other top two for Ameer have picked up guards. I'm hoping we get the good news soon!
Kavon Rose, a 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Detroit (Mich.) Finney, picked the Beavers. “Really Kent State was in there pretty strong and Nebraska showed interested but it was between Kent State and Oregon State,” Will Smith, director of the Michigan.

What, does Tention's wife teach at Westchester? It used to drive me crazy that we never got anyone from Player Del Rey. they were the most insane high school team I've ever seen in my life. Happy to see Jenkins coming. Bellifield would be nice, but Dubois was the kid I wanted at LMU. SMU must have gave him the Eric Dickerson package. Anything short of scumbaggery like Floyd hiring Polee's dad should be used to establish a pipeline to that school.

Its a shame it took us something like 35 years to land a Weschester player. The current PG at fullerton would have been great for us. We came close with this guy named Scott Cutley a few years ago. I'm not sure why we didn't go after Bellifield in the first place.
