Dunlap brings in possibly our best shooting line up (Batemon, Quintana, Johansson, Scott and Bell), runs the set through Quintana and Johansson. The possession somehow ends with Batemon shooting a stepback three in iso after we manage no penetration. End of the lineup. Sigh.

Our offense is pitiful. Dunlap interviewed at halftime - asked about McClendon being out- instead of taking an opportunity to praise his Senior guard, he downplays McClendons absence like all are equal. What a jerk!

Barring a major collapse, LMU will continue the trend of beating teams it should beat and losing to teams it should lose to.
Like many others, I have been critical of Dunlap, but I'll say this about the guy - his teams do peak toward the end of the season, the defense looks good and, considering our limitations, he's playing the right speed. Unfortunately, LMU isn't a powerhouse program that can afford to pick up steam over the course of a season or an NBA team that enters the playoffs at the top of their game. We're a small program with no margin for error, and we'd need 25+ wins with signatures to get into the tournament.

Win or lose, barely reaching 60 pts a game doesn’t fill the seats.

Solid second half. Johansson and Douglas made big contributions. And Scott was solid. Announcers noted that Eric did not see the floor in the BYU game - sorta scratching their heads in the process. Need to accept Dunlap will be around for at least one more year due to financial limitations. Hoping for a good WCC tourney. Don’t like technicals but kinda glad to see the competitive spirit from Matthias.

We still need to work on finishing the last seven minutes strong, good thing we had a 16-point lead. That said, we did hold on today so it is a good step in the right direction. Happy for the team. Hopefully the confidence carries over.
And it was great to see some big shots from both Johansson and Williams. And I love Scott’s passing! Nice solid road win.
And as much whining as there is on this board, could you imagine if we were Pacific or Portland?! Portland I get, but Pacific seems to have some decent talent, but to only score 32 points in a game (like they did the other night), and the struggles they had against us both times, makes me wonder about Stoudemire’s future.
