I won’t be there tonight, but I just want to say thank you to our three seniors prior to their last home game. I hope they get a big send off tonight.
McClendon is one of my all-time favorite Lions. Part of me thinks he should become an NFL defensive back.
Petr was one of Dunlap’s first recruits and deserves a ton of credit for lasting five seasons. He had some very exciting moments.
Batemon is a true gem, coming from such a small and remote JC to earning all-conference honors. Congratulations on breaking the 1000-point mark the other day.
My understanding is that all three are fine young gentlemen and either have already graduated or on pace to. Great job!

Saw a nice tweet on the LMU basketball handle with pictures of Jeffrey and James in their graduation gowns and with diploma (Petr walked last year). Congrats to all of them.

Jesse also just had a recent pod cast interview with Batemon. Really great guy that will have success on and off the court.
Congrats to all the seniors!

Any news on what these guys are going post grad? I thought for sure Batemon would be on a summer league roster but I can't find any news on him.

JB5 posted from Cancun on his Instagram, looks like he's on vacation with the wifey. Guessing he didn't get a call for summer league (or turned one down). Not sure about the other two.

McClendon should try out with the Rams or Chargers (or go to grad school somewhere and play one year of college football).
He would be a great cover cornerback!
He was fun to watch.

Thanks for posting.
Cool to see Sherman Gay still playing. I once worked with his mom, an educator. She was terrific. She told me about the time that "little" Tyson (chandler) would come over her house and they'd hang out.
I didn't know Matty Knight had retired. Quite a career in the NBL though. 3 titles, all NBL appearances is very solid. Da-Mo had Olympic appearances and continues to have a solid career.
Does anybody know what happened to Brandon Worthy? Seems as though that knee injury was quite devastating to his career.

Great story about Sherman Gay. I have to say, he improved more from his freshman year to his junior year and then senior year than any player I’ve ever seen for the Lions. The second guy on that list would be Markusson.

What's the word on Markusson? Is he definitely back home for the year? Has anyone seen the new guys play in the gym since they've been around campus? It's always to welcome new players.

Last I heard on Brandon Worthy, he was teaching in the Bay Area.
He was such a pleasure to watch. He dominated like no other Lion since he played. Really great guy too.

Pump I assume with all the other scholarship players (13 w/o Mattais) on the roster that Marcusson will not play this season - don’t know his official status though.

Leaupepe (Sydney Kings) is going to have another former Lion in the NBL this upcoming season. Batemon signed with the Brisbane Bullets on a 2 year deal. Markusson signed with Polish league MKS Dabrowa Gornicza.
