Best qualities are their experience.

Cain would help fill the rebounding void.
Last season, Markusson grabbed 11 rebounds per 40 minutes and Scott 9 per 40. That is a LOT of rebounds to find.
Last year, Douglas averaged 8.4 rebounds per for 40 minutes and Leaupepe averaged 8.1. Cain last season in the Big East averaged 8.4, just like Douglas.
And the other thing to remember about Leaupepe, as much fun as he is to watch, is that he fouls too much. Over two seasons, he has played at least 20 minutes in 35 games, he committed four or five fouls in 17 of those 35 games.
So we need another rebounder. Cain was the second best player in the state of Michigan coming out of high school. He played 119 career games at Marquette. He is taking advantage of the “extra” year. I think he would be a great fit.

Here is a great website that gives the latest in commits, recruits, and transfers. I’ve seen some BYU players transferring too, so keep a close eye on them. Matt Haarms is contemplating whether to return or not, which will influence whether Barcello returns or not either www.verbalcommits.com/conferences/west-coast

Drew Buggs and Ray Salnave our grad recruits have both entered the transfer portal. KJ Simpson who committed to Arizona over LMU has asked out of his LOI.
I’m much more excited at Shelton at the guard position. It’s funny how recruiting works some times.

Could have been Stan's first Top 100 freshman that we could have had for 4 full years. We have so much guard talent coming in, I'm so intrigued at how it all plays out.

The KJ situation makes for a great case study that our coaches can use when talking to future recruits who are considering a big time program. Very good players can get lost in the shuffle at power 5 schools.

I assume KJ dropped his commitment due to Sean Miller getting fired, I fully expect him to sign with another P12 school. That being said I am sure Stan would find a way to get him to LMU if he wanted to come here.

Pavel Zahkarov 7’ center is transferring from Gonzaga. Maybe because of the big time recruit they are getting? Was a 4-⭐️ recruit

I have a good feeling about Tanner Groves. It's just a feeling and there is a lot of competition for his services. He can rebound, shoot from 3. Heck, he was POY in the Big Sky. Check out his highlights from the tournament against Kansas. Fingers crossed. Our offense would have a LOT of weapons with him in the mix.

Watched those highlights from Kansas and man what a threat he would be. I'm sure Stan is giving the speech that he would be the final, key piece in a special team here and its true. Strong list of schools he's considering, but here he can be "the guy" down low vs. another piece in a Top 10 team. Hope your feeling is right Pumpfake.

I like his toughness. Kinda a bigger version of Keli. Would be a hugh get.

I might think his head coach at Eastern Washington now ar Portland has the inside track at landing Groves if he opts for the WCC. Unless he wants to be on a “win now” team like Coach Johnson is promoting. Nevada seems to be hot to land Groves also.

In last week’s happy hour chat, Coach twice alluded to having something more in the works. So far, I’ve not heard any birds chirping. I’m hoping for at least one big - although I’m not expecting anyone bigger than what we have now.
