Everything I read says he has high IQ, high energy, and based on his stats he is clearly a productive player. Extremely excited to get a guy like this in our program, can come in a bee a good energy guy off the bench right away. Also good to see us continue to recruit the SoCal kids from the best programs. His AAU team WHYNOT also has a ton of videos of full game highlights on youtube, most of Aaron's highlights are offensive rebounds and finishing around the rim - did see one highlight of a pretty impressive ally-oop where he showed off some athleticism. Kind of surprised we are his only offer according to verbal commits and 247 sports, given his productivity on the #1 team in the state and top AAU team in the country you would think he would be more heavily recruited. Only reason I can think of is because it doesn't seem like he has an outside shot (0-6 from 3 in AAU games) and he is essentially a 6'7" center due to a lack of outside offensive game, but his productivity at the highest levels of HSBB do not lie, looks like a great recruit for CSJ.

Highlights from a couple of games, playing above the rim seems fairly effortless for him. Reminds me a little bit of Dante Cunningham, who was the one forward in villanova's 4 guard line ups about 15 years ago who developed into a very good player, basically the epitome of an energy big.

Seems to understand the nuances of using his body to slither through screens and gaps. Looks like a great signing.

New offer went out last week to 2023 big man Luke McEldon. Looks like a high energy 5 that can finish strong among traffic.

OK - this is the most encouraging recruiting report I have seen in some time. Cross your fingers Lion fans. "On3 currently has 33rd ranked 4 star Cody Williams as a 68% chance to go to LMU. His brother is Jalen Williams who just got drafted in the lottery after playing at Santa Clara this past season. Things change but I wouldn’t be shocked to see LMU and Santa Clara in it to the end." Looks like we got in early with this young man along with Santa Clara. But coaches now at LSU have been on him a while too.
Hopefully he likes our SoCal climate, Coach Johnson and his team mates to be a lot.

ESPN updated their recruiting rankings and Aaron McBride finished just outside their top 100 and is a 4 star recruit, obviously these don't mean much but it would be LMUs highest rated recruit in ESPN rankings history. Regardless, looks like the news of him having a big summer was true.
