I think we may have hit on McBride. Corona Centennial is the top rated team in California and among tops in the entire country. I'd have to imagine that they might have a televised game or two this season. If anyone notices, please post. Would really like to see Aaron play. "2023 wing Aaron McBride contributed 14 points to help on the offensive end of the floor. He’s an athletic and tough slasher that can be a mismatch nightmare for opposing frontcourts. He has an explosive first step and quick feet which allow him to blow by slower forwards off the bounce. McBride has the verticality and upper body strength to finish through contact or above the rim if given enough space. He’s a developing perimeter shooter, although he has the ability to knock down open jumpers off the catch from behind the arc. He is a strong and high-motor rebounder that goes after the ball on both ends of the floor. His game sounds a lot like Douglas. If he is as ready as Sniper is, he might even get good playing time next season as a Freshman.

If the word on Douglas leaving college ball is accurate, we will have five openings next season:
Ahrens
Shelton
Leaupepe
Marble and
Douglas
While Anderson can handle PG duties, he is not ideal and a bit reckless at times so another PG will be a priority. Don't know Taitz's skill set, but perhaps he could handle sharing PG with Anderson. If not, we'll need another guy.
I expect Coach Johnson to reach into the transfer list to load up with veteran players with perhaps one, two or three (at most) recruits from High School but they will have to be very high quality to land a slot over a transfer. McBride fits that bill, as did Sniper.
Should be an interesting recruiting season.

If you want me to post links let me know - but because Centennial is currently the #2 team in the country (excluding all the academies like IMG and Oakhill) every one of their games has 10-15 minutes highlight videos on youtube if you just search for it. They actually play the #1 team, Duncanville, tonight which will have highlights posted everywhere. As the article says above, his shot is definitely a work in progress but he has Douglas size and athleticism - he finishes above the rim effortlessly and also seems to be a good passer. His shot will need to a bit better to start as a freshman as he is only 6'6", but would not be surprised if he did and served a bit as our Keli replacement.
