Starting the annual fall sports thread.
None of men's soccer, women's soccer, or volleyball are ranked in pre-season, but they all have a shot to make the post-season. Looks like men's soccer won their opener and play SDSU on Sunday. Women's soccer has 2 draws to start with (including shutting out UW in a 0-0 game, though they were outshot 4-20), they play CSUN on Sunday. Women's volleyball tips off (spikes off?) this weekend, as well.
Go Lions!
PS: I know CC and water polo are also in-season, but there's a limit on what I can keep up with!

Congrats to LMU volleyball for making it to the tourney . They lost to Oregon but the Ducks are very good. WCC was a power? San Diego has a shot to go far as a #1 seed, and other at large included BYU and Pepperdine.

Also pacific and Santa Clara. WCC is a strong CB conference. Lions had sone young players this year. Next year is promising.

Volleyball is by far our best program right now. They played a really aggressive non-conference schedule, which probably helped during conference play. I hope Pintens keeps Mansfield happy. Other than an off year last year, he's been great:

We should be a force in women’s volleyball. What a shame that we couldn’t keep Mansfield. Important hire upcoming to attempt to keep the current players from transferring and maintain the momentum.

Hopefully the program won't suffer much. This was a tournament team before the last coach and it should continue to be a tournament team in the years following.
