They lost to Oregon State but played a respectable game against them. I expect the Lions will be favored on the Winter solstice and will get to 10-4 before starting WCC play. Gametime: Wednesday, Dec 21, 7 pm in Gersten. Video: WCC Network.

Why does Jalin get playing time? He’s absolutely trash and has such low basketball IQ.
Lamaj is also terrible.

I’m not at the game so I can’t comment on what’s happening tonight. But in answer to nbd, Jalin has the most athletic capability on the team. Unfortunately, I agree that he has a very low BB IQ. He’s making the same mistakes he made as a freshman. He just doesn’t learn. Frankly I don’t see much alternative. Sniper has yet to show he can play with any consistency and he definitely lacks Jalin’s athleticism. Shooting the ball is about all he does, and even that is inconsistent. Let’s face it - the roster is pretty thin.

Tulsa scored the last three times down court, but two were waived off by a foul earlier on the drive. And then an easy lay up under the basket was wiped away by a traveling call.
We look like a mess against the press. We can’t make a free throw…And somehow we are winning by 12 points!
Better to be winning ugly than losing pretty.

We have a nice lead now but I’m still worried Our shots aren’t falling well and our free throws don’t go in We’re playing flat and this is the kind of game that could turn into a bad loss Ahrens is silent today

Michael Graham's hustle and overall activity have made him our 3rd best player after Cam and Keli IMO.

Cam is playing at an all conference level - we would be lucky to have 5 wins if he wasn't on the team. Jalin is an all conference defensive player but needs to learn the game on offense more, too often he predetermines his move instead of reacting to the defense. We won this game because we killed them on the boards.

Some observations: Keli and Cam carried us tonight (as usual). Jalin was atrocious, and made some bad passes/decisions. Ahrens was cold from the floor. I know it happens, but as our 3 point specialist, he needs to step up to make sure the scoring does not fall on just Cam/Keli. I did like the hustle of Graham and he came up with big blocks. Big Rick also did pretty well on the defensive end. Chance had some good looks and knocked down a couple. I think he will improve.
Also, this team needs to practice free throws. We missed way too many. Against a better team, that will be the difference. Honestly, we should have won by 30. Overall, good job in the second half defensively. If this team can put together a complete game, sky's the limit.
