Yes-- NIT is best bet now with record unless we win the tournament. I watcha all Gonzaga's games and this year is a very down year for them. Even times they have won, they have barely squeaked by against teams they have pounded in years past. I say this not to diminish the victory, but to say, if there was a year for us to win the WCC tournament and get an automatic qualifier, it would be this year. SMC is good, but on a neutral floor I dont think LMU is far behind. BYU we have already beaten. Gonzaga can be beat again and then no one else intimidates me as having less than a 50% chance to beat.

Alex M. Played briefly in the San Diego game and was 0-1 shooting. Last night he wasn’t dressed. Hopefully his injury is not serious. I want to cite the recent play of Jalin Anderson who has been our #2 scorer including a recent 4-4 night from 3. Hope his game stays at his current high level or goes even higher. I’d like to see the Lions in the NIT which is a realistic goal with our quality wins in the books.

Regarding winning the WCC Tournament, Gonzaga and St Mary’s still are 1-2, but watch out for Santa Clara, too. They look really good.
I agree it is wide open, will depend on health and who is hot come Vegas time.
Hopefully it will be us! Go Lions!
