I have to say that the Waves gave the Zags all they could handle before falling in Malibu. The Waves are peaking at a bad time for the Lions. But, first things first, we need to win tonite.

Regardless of how these final 7 seconds go, Cam Shelton is on the best stretch of basketball I have ever seen by an LMU player.

What a finish. Down 11 with under three minutes remaining, unbelievable fight and grittiness.
Obviously Cam was unbelievable and loved to see the replay review time out play be designed for Stevens and for him to knock down that clutch three pointer.
Congrats to the team. That was awesome. Shelton was unreal.

What a win!!! Down 86-75, our Lions went on a 15-2 run to win 90-88.
Cam Shelton with 40
He should be in serious consideration for conference MVP.
The Gersten crowd really got it into during the run.
Massive!

Wow what a game! Was able to make it to the game and watch it with another alum.
Cam is a stud and the team really grinded out and pulled out a big W. Huge confidence and morale boosting win after the tough Gonzaga loss.
Anybody else feel a little disappointed in the overall performance though? Pacific sliced and diced our defense apart and our offense continued to look a bit unorganized and stagnant with complete dependence on cam to do something. Just me?

The Lions actually played pretty good defense most of the night. The Tigers were shooting lights out, even when guarded. In the first half they shot 70% from the arc. I have a hard time believing they’ve had a better shooting night all season.
Tough loss for a Tiger team that did everything right to win. We only led for something like 20 seconds tonight, but it was the right 20 seconds! Kudos to the guys for bearing down and erasing that late 11-point deficit. Extreme hustle during those waning seconds got us the lead and secured the win. The guys deserve credit for pulling this one out.
And yes, Cam is earning votes for WCC MVP. Shoot, he should be getting votes for National POY. He’s had quite the season.
Beat the Waves next Saturday and they secure 4th place.

I also liked the sizable crowd, especially after Thursday’s game. I feared there would be a significant waning of enthusiasm. It was nice to see a mostly full Gersten. The students were slow to arrive but a fair number finally made it. Good to see on a holiday weekend.

Great comeback win. But I was aware all game long of our poor offensive play. We will not last long in tournament unless the coaching staff comes up with good offensive sets. Did anyone notice how many easy layups Pacific had from their pic & roll? We never had that because our boys don't know how to set and finish a good pic & roll. For us, if individual play is off the mark, we look lost and lousy. I hope coach can get going and we go deep in the tournament.

Slow arriving crowd especially on the student side, but man…Gersten was rocking the last five minutes.
Pacific seemed unconscious hitting circus threes, but we still came back. What a finish. We only lead in the last minute when it really matters.

We only lead in the last minute when it really matters. Once we employed the press (in our 15-2) run, Pacific were completely rattled. Like you said - Gersten was on fire for those last 5 minutes. Now let’s sew up 4th in conference and get the double-bye in the conference tournament. Go Lions!

Keli was huge on D late. He took a charge and then (I think it was the next possession) he reached in without fouling and deflected the ball off the Pacific player's leg. We don't win the game without him forcing those two turnovers. Obviously, Cam was huge but, another Senior, Keli, was instrumental in the victory. Our wins against Wake, GU, St. Mary's and now Pacific, were all improbable given they way the actual games played out. The fact that all 4 happened the way they did. Wow. Also, Cam's performance last night and sheer force of will (to win) reminded me of Kobe. He put the team on his back. His late shot clock deep 3s were crazy. Finally, anyone notice Cam's demeanor through it all. He was really calm. Even after the game. You can't teach that type of composure. Pepperdine won't be easy next week. Their young team is improving. Lots of talent. Looking at standings, if we lose to Pepp, either USF or Pacific could move into the 4th spot. Pacfic would have to beat St. Mary's on the road (TALL ORDER) and Portland. USF would have to beat Portland and BYU (on the road). BYU always tough at home but this clearly isn't one of their better teams and USF has already beaten them. I'd prefer we beat Pepp so we don't have to scoreboard watch. On top of that, I'd prefer to beat the Waves because what red blooded Lion fan doesn't want to beat Pepperdine.
